I did a little looking, the prison is Rivers State Prison in Milledgeville, Georgia. If you look at the surrounding area the only building they could've made their way into is the nearby Georgia Department of corrections office, which is still active despite the nearby prison having closed. Makes sense because they still had prison related things in there. It's definitely a security risk for them to leave that door unlocked lol.

For anyone wondering about that hallway still in use. I've been on Street View for about 2 hours inspecting every single door on all of these old buildings and facilities in the Central State Hospital area and I believe I have finally found where they came up at by the window that was visible through the door and the door leading outside with the single window and the 4-paned window above it. I am certain it is the southside door to the still active Probation Office. Visible from Street View if you place your marker down on Echols Rd looking up the driveway going towards the building there. The way the ground is shaped too as well makes this more sensible to me along with the first visible window of the building which was open, matches perfectly by location.

They also moved away from this type of imprisonment. It was very open and easy access to multiple levels. Once gangs and other such barriers became prevalent they had to go to individual cells due to the rising attacks to immamtes from other inmates. On those big rooms with the large fans they would stack 100 or more inmates cots for sleeping etc. As they became over crowded they ended up adding them as double dunks ans in some prisons triple bunks. The population became crazy and many riots happened due to extremely poor conditions even for it being a prison. Modern internment is much different than it was.

Old School high pressure watertube boilers. They and their pipes are covered in asbestos tho. For anyone else exploring this building, please bring a respirator. Big pipe underground is a steam transmission line which does exactly as expected. I'm going to guess the smaller line is a condensate return line to return steam to the boiler after it has condensed back into water. The only alternative is a secondary steam line but not likely as it travels the same distance. A great example to a similar system is that of the Boilers in parkchester new york that power the apartment complexes.

If you guys ever make your way down to Colorado, the Great Western Sugar Mill would be right up your ally. Massive abandoned sugar mill located in Longmont. Found this video from seeing part 2 and was curious what everyone was talking about. Turns out I recognize that exact place. In 2022 another explore channel had gone through the lit up area. It's all part of a massive prison complex. In systems like that the steam tunnels lead from each building. Many universities do this as well. It appears that most of that complex is abandoned. The lit up area is also abandon but was kept in working order In cade of low risk, senior prison overflow. Due to asbestos and mold it is going to slowly rot away like the rest of the building. Cheers.

This was great. It reminded me of when I was on my honeymoon and we were in a really nice old country inn. In our room, there was a loft area, noticed 2 doors. Checked one and it was unlocked, so I peeked in and it immediately went down some steps to a dark hallway, so I motioned for the old ball and chain to grab a light and follow me. We went up and down and corners and ramps and came to this room that was padded and had a toilet and sink and little hotplate with some canned goods and some old tupperware with old food inside. In one corner there was a box that looked like it was used for trash, so I peeked in and noticed a lot of dried blood on tissues. That freaked me out so we started to head back and about halfway to the door to the loft, I noticed a faint smell of something metallic. So did my husband and we were whispering and gasping, and freaking out. We heard a light tapping of metal on metal, oh god the echo of it I can still hear. We bolted back to our room. I ended up putting a dresser and a few chairs by those two doors up there. The next morning at breakfast, sitting at the end of the bar where the drinks were placed, was a box exactly like the one we saw in that padded room, and it had red and white tissues in it. What???

I did report it before breakfast and that was right before I saw the box at the end of the bar. Come to find out it was an ex-employee who had found the room and since he lost his job, he decided to just stay there. He had stomach cancer, hence the blood. He was eventually found, homeless, and the inn decided to take care of his hospital bills and all that. Unfortunately, it was a little too late, since he passed away not long after they started helping, but he left knowing that people really did care about him.

Years back when I was a teen, my town had an old abandoned juvie(Jail for minors). There was an an underground parking garage and I heard there were cars in it. Was crazy. We went exploring a couple times there, and it was so freaking cool. The cells had these old wooden doors with slats for serving food. It had a in-door basket ball court, and cafeteria. Never went in the underground portion cause we didn't have flash lights, and one time we did have lights but my friends were too chicken to go down with me. Wish we had though. Unfortunately, they burned down the Juvie about 10 years back :( Now it's just an empty lot. Though it does leave me wondering.....that underground parking garage must still be there, because they didn't do any construction as far as I know. They just literally burnt the building down. Would be interesting to do ground penetrating sonar, to see if the garage is still there.

Between the spent casing (they are blanks by the way, you can tell by the crimped ends), random toys, burned out vehicles (that had no engines or transmissions I noticed) and "bodies" in there, I'd say someone was using it for a training site. Possibly for room clearing or hostage rescue. They often mix in simulated friendlies or civilians to train on shoot/no-shoot situations. Things are put in there to made it a little more realistic for the training,
