Secret Wars is not so much of a secret anymore. The MCU will indeed be adapting one of Marvel's most popular storylines in "Secret Wars" to the silver screen. This begs the question... Will we see Galactus during this world breaking event? Will the MCU introduce Galactus in Secret Wars? In today's video, "Secret Wars Will Introduce Galactus", I break down my thoughts on this theory and tell you exactly how I think the MCU could introduce him. What do you guys think? Galan is probably still locked away by Celestials after feeding on a Celestial egg of his home world. Morphing into Galactus, which would explain his armor and size and addiction to eating worlds that could contain Celestial Eggs. I think In Secret Wars, we’ll see him be freed by an Eternal to help stop worlds from clashing with Earth 616. And since there is no Egg anymore on 616, he might not target it.

Always had the idea in my head that they would introduce galactius in a post credit scene by showing an alien planet and there's earthquakes happening. They cut to some scientists who are like why didnt our detectors or whatever stop or notify us of these quakes?? Then another scientist says the quakes aren't originating from our planet. We would then see a shadow creep up blocking their sunlight as they look up to it you hear him say I HUNGER! Before it cuts to black.

I actually had a theory awhile ago that Thanos did what he did in order to prevent Galactus from feeding on more worlds. That this was what actually happened to his world and why he went on his quest to reduce life in the universe. To save other worlds from that fate.

Nope. Not even close. The reality of Galactus is this. He travels the universe. Hes understood as perhaps the one thing that will exist at the end of the universe and will be reborn again after the collapse to begin again as a new Galactus of some type, probably serving the same purpose as he always has. Galactus has been around our universe since day one, although he took a long time to even get his act together and turn out to be the threat he has become. He dosnt go around swallowing worlds by the hundreds every day. In fact, its always been sort of plain, that Galactus travels around the universe are planed out, and calculated, with heralds tasked with seeking out new lunchable worlds, to be a largely self sustaining process as through out the universe, there are plenty of planets, that he consumes at a slow but steady pace, that will keep him going until the end of whats to come. After BILLIONS of years of planet consumption. One merely has to look at Galactus's distain for anything that wants to wipe out vast numbers of eatable worlds, or even smash up in some way large numbers of worlds. Hes distinctly not for it at all. His history has long indicated that he really got extraordinarily ticked with his first Herald, the Fallen One, when the Fallen One was so excited about obliterating worlds, he wanted to start his own business doing it all over the place and Galactus put his ass in jail as soon as he seen how things were panning out with the Fallen One. It seems clear Galactus has an idea of how and why he wants things to work, and anyone who wants whole sale destruction of lots of planets, is on Galactus's shit list. Compared to the broad destruction of life that Thanos did with the Gauntlet, what Galactus does is like watching an ultra slow-mo video reel. What Thanos did would make little to no sense if it was supposed to somehow curtail destruction caused by Galactus. What Thanos did with a snap of his fingers, Galactus wouldnt do in a 10,000 years. Half the universe living things GONE. Secondly, what ever one might what to pretend in their mind happened to Thanos's world wasnt Galactus. That much is fact. He takes everything from a planet. ALL OF IT. You might find some smallish asteroid sized crumbs left over after, if that. He dosnt leave planets looking like a bomb hit. Galactus processes it ALL. And lastly, it seems you have forgotten the two details that makes it all moot. Firstly, Thanos used the Infinity Stones to take out half the universes living things. If the goal was pretty much to avoid Galactus taking them for dinner himself, firstly, a living planet with life sustaining capacity with only half the population is just fine as far as Galactus is concerned. Its not like he is craving the taste of living flesh or something. LOL. The raw numbers of living things there isnt the required issue, its just usually the resultant by product of a planet thats capable of producing life, and thats that it usually has some once its been around a few hundred million years. Sometimes more life forms, sometimes less. Its all exactly pretty much the same lunch to Galactus. Secondly, if Galactus was the concern, it made no sense that Thanos didnt just use the glove to tank Galactus out of existence perminently, because the Stones are one of the few things in the universe that can do that without issue. So no. The reality is, ANYONE planning a vast universe level take over or destruction of any sort, needs to ensure they manage to either do it behind Galactus's back, or find a really clever universe class level way to take him down first. Otherwise, they are in more trouble then they will know what to do with.

Very out there idea. But Galactus could be introduced by the next eternals film. At the end of the first film Arishem left to judge the planet, maybe he ruled us unworthy and sends Galactus to consume our planets energy. Could show that Galactus is a cosmic necessity like he is in the comics

But I think a show that depicts different worlds and stories that always or almost always ends with Galactus devouring that world would be cool and has a lot of potential. Sometimes they expect him, sometimes it out of nowhere, They could show different heroes, villains, survivors and Heralds. Call the show "Galactus is Coming"

I think you’re on to something with the mere mention of galactus happening, but I think they could use that as a reason for the secret invasion. The Skrulls are like refugees of the Kree skrull war and the devastation of Galactus.

My first introduction to Galactus was the original Secret Wars run when it came out in the 80's. He became an instant favorite when he decided that since he couldn't beat the Beyonder in a direct confrontation he was just going to eat battle world and be done with it. I have a nine inch Galactus figure that sits on top of my guitar amp for every gig I play. If I'm playing piano instead of guitar, I have him on my piano. He is my good luck token. I've never considered him a villain, because he isn't malevolent.

I could see a 6 part series called "Galan" and it show takes up on a journey of Galan trying to save his universe only in the end to almost accomplish this but fail in the last second. Hell maybe even have mcu's Galactus be the result of kang secretly screwing him over unintentionally while fighting that universes kang, thwarting him at the end to kill his other self by collapsing his universe, idk, I'm spit ballin

A lot of that tangential space stuff can be introduced over any movies set in space. For the *Shi'ar Empire* for example it would be as easy as putting the planet with the McGuffin the heroes are currently after in Shi'ar space. "Who are the Shi'ar?" the audience surrogate character then asks. "Oh, they're just the largest empire this side of the galaxy. Certainly not someone you want to make an enemy of..." Cue their ship being stopped by a Shi'ar patrol, and the heroes talking or sabotaging their way out. And last we see of the patrol is the captain ordering to "send a full report to Preator Kallark! The Gladiator will want to hear of this." Fills some 15-20 minutes of screen time with a bit of side action to make retrieving the McGuffin more interesting, and establishes anything you need in order to bring them in for a larger role later.

I am almost certain, at 95%, this Secret Wars will replicate SW 88 only and introduce The Beyonder(s). Then Phase 7 and 8 an 9 will be known as the 'Incursion Saga' which will culminate with Avengers SW II. This route gives Marvel time to develop 2 F4 movies, a third Doctor Strange and The Ivory Kings , a Silver Surfer and Friends show, the council of Thors, a Molecule Man show, and of course a Madam Web / Spider-Verse arc. Those are all needed pieces to make happen Hickmans Secret Wars.I'm not sure what would be after Incursion saga -> but that fact, with post Hickman's SW's being hard to define, is why Feige was so easily able to plan the next 10 years. He's got phase 789 ready to roll. Having 10 years to complete the end of the multiverse will give him the content needed to make the new multiverse arc happen.

They should do 1st Secret Wars as a movie (call it Secret War) and show Beyonder and show of his power, so later when the Secret Wars movie (based of the Hickman version) happens and show the other Beyonders who r much stronger than him, they will explain that the 1st Beyonder is a baby version of them.

Interesting analysis. But I was hoping for a little more then the rather obvious "It would be a great place to introduce him". I say that because it 'could be' a great place to introduce him, it also could be a poor place to introduce him, as we all know, it would require hoping that the Marvel team keeps making the smart calls they have up to now and did it right. And Im not even entirely sure what anything close to the totality of what doing 'right' would entail. But The issue remains, Galactus is indeed a universe class character of the high end order, capable of defeating Celestials and often a front line potential threat to any universe class master villain whos planning on taking over the universe. As we have seen in the comic books, Galactus tends to see the universe doing something else besides coming under the direct orders and influence/rule of a singular self indulgent villain. So while one COULD introduce Galactus in a Secret Wars plot, it isnt exactly the sort of place that would put the kind of direct focus on him the way a high order universe level character trouble maker like Galactus has always been. It dosnt really matter how tall or impressive looking they make him, if he just shows up, one of two dozen other characters, both villain's and heros alike, Galactus is going to inherently lose 'some' of the universe level fear inducing capacity he actually is supposed to have. | And while that dosnt necessarily change the fact that a Secret Wars plot 'could be' a good place to introduce him, its not necessarily unless they find a way to play him out as the true game changer in the extreme way that he is. While we who read comic books knew that Thanos was clearly after the Infinity Stones, and with the Infinity stones, Thanos with the stones is simply the most brutal sort of villain imaginable with the power levels he then has that become well beyond otherworldly, and exemplify some of the most powerful universe level ability's in Marvel. Galactus, even at lower power levels is still 'power on high', all on his own. Not Infinity stones levels, but that hardly matters. With him powered up, hes simply astonishing powerful, having shown repeatedly has capable of totally tanking or absorbing practically everything lesser then an Infinity Gauntlet level type assault on him. HEs been like the entity, that when he shows up, the reality is, you better have planned for that, and a lot, and have something otherworld to stop him from taking you down instantly, or the games over. Plain and simple. And it seldom matters much how many of you there are, if Galactus is well charged. You all fall pretty quick unless someone has something pretty special on a universe level to stop him from putting your side down. And there isnt much to choose from. The Ultimate nullifier has often been seen as the quick solution, and its made the difference before. Its a really messy sort of weapon in what it seems capable of doing, a weapon of rather frightening capacities that mostly comes across as something neither Galactus, or anyone else for that matter who has a clue what might happen if it goes off, ever wants to see it fired. And certainly a glove full of infinity stones will easily outmatch Galactus, as they do with everything else in the universe they are from. But beyond that, things get very rough in so far as whats going to do anything to Galactus beyond only being powerful enough to get his attention, which you dont want if you have also just painted yourself as a target for him to take out. So simply saying that Secret Wars is a great place to introduce him, well, that could be. But its not exactly as intuitive as it might first seem, unless its just a mention, a few uneasily spoken words that ring like a harbinger of inevitable doom to the ones who know what a "Galactus" actually is and does. That sort of intro is not typically be prone to any failure unless its almost weirdly blown. But any sudden literal appearance of Galactus in a Secret Wars plot needs some very serious thinking to get it right. Good video.

Hey Rob. I've got a theory. What if the reason Kang wants to control all time lines in all universes is to prevent mutants from existing. In particularly Destiny. It’s easy to introduce galactus. You do a silver surfer origins story simply called Zen-La. and you can easily delve into the backstory of both. Post credit scene: silver surfer comes across earth and thinks it’s a great meal for galactus. Flying by earth his cosmic radiation trail gets exposed to a space ship that was in the vicinity which contains none other than…. The fantastic 4

Galactus could be referenced in any of the space based heros movies. The Marvels, secret invasion, or of course Guardians of the galaxy. Galactus doesn't have to be attached to the FF4. I'm hoping Adam warlock brings him up in post credit.

I agree that Galactus will likely be in Secret Wars, however, I don't think he'll be in the main meat of the movie. I feel like the movie will end, and then we get a credits scene with Galactus, like the collapse of the Multiverse and the battles of Battleworld woke him up, and he starts sending out his heralds (I'm thinking Terrax, Silver Surfer, and probably one or two others) out to find him more planets to consume, but we'll only see the Silhouette of Galactus commanding them to go, setting Galactus as the Phase 7-9 villain. Then in a later projects credits scene, we see Silver Surfer arrive at Earth and call Galactus. I do think he'll be mentioned in at least one of the space based projects (Secret Invasion, Guardians 3, the Marvels, etc.), but I don't know if they'll use the Galactus name when talking about him, I think they'll call him "the World Eater" or "Devourer of Worlds", leaving it more vague, at least in part to not overshadow Kang being the Phase 4-6 villain.

I think the Secret Wars we will see in the MCU will be a mixture of both the 1984 and 2015. Doom will have killed Kang and saved the Multiverse (I have many ideas for Doom but I’m sticking just to Secret Wars here) and he will create Latverion (one of the names for the planet in Hickman’s run). Now, you may ask “well why not call it Battleworld because that name is more iconic and synonymous to Secret Wars” and that’s true but here’s a few reasons. 1) Latveria (at least in my pitch) would have been established big time in the MCU by this point so the name Latverion fits instantly with the viewer. 2) the name Battleworld I don’t think makes sense if it’s just a normal planet which is meant to be quite successful and peaceful under the reign of Doom and 3) the name Battleworld could be the name of a Disney Plus series in between Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Doom puts some rebel characters throughout the multiverse into this Hunger Games like place in a section of Latverion called Battleworld where it’s the same as the 1984 version “slay your enemies and you will get what you desire” and the winner could then say “I want Doom” and that’s how we get the opening scene to Secret Wars with someone challenging Doom and us seeing Doom’s new power. Then we get Secret Wars where everyone is scattered around and we see the new planet. This needs to look unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU.

Baby rob in the MCU. Make it happen. Galactus do not need a backstory. His backstory add nothing and constantly change. He is a force of nature and that's all need be known. His backstory has never been explained in non comic media. Also eternal 2 will introduce Galactus I think.

Jack Kirby had this same opinion of Galactus - writers keep trying to make him a consistent presence and it keeps failing because Galactus is a set piece not a character not an antagonist The last writer to do Galactus any justice was John Byrne.

I think they will introduce galactus with fantastic four closing credits. Maybe him devouring a planet or something and on his way to earth. I'm just ready to see him and Franklin in the mcu
