It's been interesting to see how New England's perception of the Patriots has changed over the years. Despite the league showing footage of Boston in all its promo material about the Patriots you have to understand that Boston is a baseball town first and that the Patriots were very much an afterthought for a very long time. I was living near Foxboro when Kraft bought the Patriots from Orthwein and believe me, Foxboro (soon to be Gillette) Stadium is in the middle of nowhere. Kraft and the Patriots showed what can happen when a team is led by dedicated, passionate, and capable ownership that is passionate about the game and there was a definite shift in how the team played and how New England viewed their football team.

Rewind the 2009 Stanely Cup Final.... there's so much story about it... same 2 teams played each other the year before, a young Crosby and Malkin vs. an old Red Wings team with Zetterberg Datsyuk ect.

Pitt got lucky. Holmstrom blocking two wide open nets. And signing hossa also jynxed the team
@closethockeyfan52845 жыл бұрын
@@Jodall It was a back-and-forth series. NO Cup winner this century has been devoid of luck at some point. It's an absolutely silly tournament, to boot. "Go play 82 games against everyone; then we'll determine your true worth in minuscule seven-game series when you're battered from the grueling season you already worked so hard in." Sure, makes sense.
