One-yard away from the end zone with 26-seconds left, the Seahawks were on the verge of winning back-to-back Super Bowls. The Patriots were months removed from being written off and need to make a goal-line stand for their first Super Bowl in ten years. Seattle has the chance to become the NFL's newest dynasty. New England is looking to prove they're not done. And with one snap, we'll forget everything that got us here.

You could do one on the 50 year curse that started when Indy faked the deflation claim. It was so blatantly obvious that Ryan Grigson was in kahoots with Baltimore to put the fix on NE. And anyone who wants to claim otherwise needs to look at one fact that everyone conveniently overlooks:.......With FULLY inflated footballs, NE destroyed Indy in the 2nd half, went to 4 Super Bowls and won 3 of them, and Brady got an MVP.....ALL WITH FULLY INFLATED FOOTBALLS. Yeah.....I'm convinced the whole deflategate thing was bullshit....plus the Wells report NEVER proved anything. The fact that the rest of the NFL is so salty is the most delicious feeling in the world...and the Colts will pay the price: A 50 year curse. BAMMM. Mic drop.

I love this Rewinder, but I wish they did more with this one in particular. First, they should have made the final play last a bit longer and show the reactions from both sidelines. Second, they should have discussed how in the practice before the Super Bowl, the Patriots planned for the goal line pass play and how Malcolm Butler missed it during practice. Lastly, they should have dug into more past history regarding New England like The Helmet Catch in Super Bowl 42 and Mario Manningham's sideline catch in Super Bowl 46 to help add more weight to Kearse's bobbling catch. Other than that, great video and I hope they do rewinders for The Helmet Catch, the Minneapolis Miracle, and Lebron James' block in Game 7.

The thing is it wasn't just any coach , it was one of Bill Belichicks son's. Because of altercation he was told he couldn't play in the game and Eric Rowe was immediately brought in . Hence the crying. Im pretty sure he did something wrong at practice and they were gonna Welker him by sitting him for a drive or two and he took it to heart. What makes it even more special is, the fact that the patriots ran THE EXACT same play during practice. Malcolm was playing corner, and he got beat. Hard. Butler mentioned he'd have felt responsible for the loss following the Kearse catch if they hadn't won, but honestly I'd have not even thought about blaming him. He came in the second half and was great, obv his pick was unreal and made him a hero.

This was great. Thanks for all your awesome content! Something to consider... think about doing a reminder on the 2009 Twins v Tigers game 163. It was the last regular season game in the metrodome. It was the impotence for mlb going to a wild card play off. It was practically the end of the Twins as a dominant AL. Central team. If you bracketed it with the 2002 ALDS where the twins beat the moneyball A’s, and after 2009 spent almost ten years ignoring the data driven changes in sports, to now embracing it, that makes for an interesting story!

My wife and I started dating the very second the interception happened. She wasn't watching the game and TV had gone out my side of campus. My wife who I wasn't dating at that time had a working TV so I sprinted across campus to watch the 4th quarter with my friend. An odd moment in history but will forever be the one of the moments that changed my life.

Having lived in Seattle my entire life, I’m not sure what’s been more painful: The Mariners having not made it to the postseason in nearly two decades; the Sonics being robbed and almost immediately becoming a title contender in OKC; or the goal line INT in SB49.

Those are all extremely painful. And the Mariners drought happened DESPITE the fact that the team had Ichiro and many other great players. ...Oh well, I'll just make it even worse for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inLNaWaofq6JhpY

We have enough sports misery to go around. This play hurts because it was one play with EVERYTHING on the line. The Mariners have been a slow, steady pain to where we are just numb about it. The Sonics story is an outrage, but enough time has passed to where the brunt of our anger has been expressed and we are just in an acceptance stage. This Super Bowl play is still new enough to be head shakingly frustrating but just old enough to be "whatever".

The SuperSonics story was the worst one, and it's not even close. A team being taken away from an entire city is as bad as it gets.
