The Magic played in a similar way to how the NBA plays today though. They had 4 shooters surround Dwight. Hedo and Lewis weren't considered prototypical 4 men.

Yeah that's very true. But what I can't figure out is why there are so many big men coming out of high school and are labeled as Blue chip prospects when the game is no longer for them anymore

Yeah, Orlando lived and died by the 3. They shot incredibly against Boston, pretty well against Cleveland, and then went subpar against LA. I'm not totally convinced a dominant center still can't carry a team to the title. There are some good ones now, but they like to play away from the basket. I just figure he'd have to be dominant in the paint and have great passing skills, which is always a tough combination to get but is hardly unprecedented. It's all about finding ways to exploit mismatches against other teams.

Both Sean marks and Melvin Ely won a title with the spurs just saying...scrubs yes but ironically so did Devin brown who they made fun of for some reason in this video...ha so did David west peja james posey and Tyson chandler..heck even morris Peterson Who was their main sg won a ring in college....the only ringless hornet from this beat down on Christmas in Orlando to dwights magic in their kingdom was Chris Paul ...LOL..and Ryan Bowen...but he was on the floor during t Macs amazing 13 points in 33 seconds vs the spurs in 2004..the team that would go on to win a title with devin brown being a key 9th man ...the more you know..

Suns got their revenge in 2010 sweeping the spurs but the torment they got from the spurs from 2001-2009 was sorta justified ...the suns lost to them in 98 and got revenge in round 1 2000 when the spurs were trying to repeat....and lost 1-3 cause back then it was best of 5... besides the great shaq Kobe Phil la teams they were the only team to eliminate them from 1999-2005...and besides Dallas and la the only team to eliminate them from 1998-2010 ....and I guess Utah in 98
