What an incredible shiur. Paradigm shifting. 1:05 I understand even more why Esav is hated. Born to the holiest parents and reneged on his incredible potential. I wonder if this is why some of the greatest converts can still come from Edom. EX Shmaya and Avtalyon, Onkelos, Rabi Akiva ...CHAZAK U'BARUCH Rav!

I saw a program on tv showing an old man sitting in a bed in a small dumpy room. They said he had so little money he didn’t have enough for food And his medicine. No one could or would help him. Also that there were many like him. Often a refugee from Russia. How could this be happening??? Thanks, Adrienne

Only Hashem knows why children are Born with defects. Many times these children are born to very righteous parents with pure thought and action. Iheard from big rabbis that these children have lofty souls with much less that they need to achieve and so they are not given a chance to mess up either. To suggest that parents of these children have messed up is insensitive. No one knows. Our holy father Issac had a evil son esav regardless of his holy thoughts. I APPRECIATE all that's being taught about kedusha but I would also appreciate if the rabbi can be more sensitive. A very special woman is crying right now because of this lecture. She is sacrificing so much in a most selfless way , raising her special needs baby with so much love . Seeing her devotion and unconditional love day after day inspires me to pray and ask Hashem to please reflect this unconditional love back to his children , despite our flaws and inequities. ( not suggesting Chas vshalom that we can willingly disobey Hashems commandments) these dedicated parents should be applauded.

Why rebuke the rabbi? Did you and the mother in distress not watch this to the end? The rabbi gives us hope on how to correct our mistakes. Rabbi says… If a person cleaves to Hashem, and does everything that he or she can to follow the Torah to the best of their ability then the Torah turns into the antidote, the cure for all aliments. If a person uses the Torah the right way, they can cure not only their own mistakes but the mistakes of others Hashem commanded Israel to destroy the Midianites completely because they caused Israel to sin. Someone that causes other people to sin is worse than a murder! The opposite is true as well, someone that causes another person to do a mitzvah is even greater than someone that did the mitzvah themselves! We can try to apply what we can of the Torah to our life but don’t lose hope if you can’t do all of it because you can get an even greater benefit for supporting it, sharing it, and distributing it to get the rest of the world to know that Hashem is emet (truth) and his Torah is emet (truth)!

He's mentioned in other talks that "deformed" children may times are born to holy parents that have the tools to deal with the added hardship that such precious children bring. In fact, many times these children themselves are holy souls that only need minimal work. The point of this shiur is purely focused on thoughts actually creating a reality. And is meant to inspire people to focus on their intent.

@@Bogie1590 thanks for clarification. I didn't hear that other lecture and neither did the woman struggling with a disabled child and crying g her eyes out. I will try to find it. Do you know the name of the lecture?
