Thanks for a more unbiased review. Secretlab pays off a lot of reviewers to say "best chair ever!" Glad she pointed out the comfort issue. I've owned a Secretlab Titan for 5 months. Been working from home ever since the pandemic and game a lot. The cushioning never breaks in. The good parts are what she said - looks and build quality are excellent, very solidly build, doesn't look or feel cheap. Customizable adjustments are cool. I expect this chair to look new years after I bought it. The bad parts are the comfort factors. It's very firm. Never gets more comfy. If you use the two pillows it helps, the pillows are probably the best I've tried out of various gaming chair head and back pillows, but I shouldn't need a pillow to feel comfortable in my chair.

@TrippNessa4 жыл бұрын
I got this chair because of my increasingly chronic back and shoulder pains. My posture is trash and my old chair was making it worse. This chair has helped so much! It actually encourages that I sit correctly because of the lumbar pillow and the super adjustable arm rests. I agree that it can get stiff on days where I'm working at my computer for 8 hours though, so on those days I use the cheap, flat cushion that I bought from the store. The one and only issue I have with it is that I'm only 5 feet tall. My heels don't fully touch the floor even at its lowest setting, and this was the smallest chair size they offered. That will probably not be an issue for too many ppl tho.

Omg. I just bought my Omega today for the same reasons. My back is in tatters from using some crap chair. I thought, enough is enough. Nobody ever tells you that a good chair is as important or more so than the rig you're sitting at. So, I forked out the $400 for the chair and hope it gets here soon. My back needs it.

I've been using a Secret Lab Omega (stealth) since early 2017, so over 3 years now. And I have to say, I'm looking to upgrade to an actual ergonomic chair. The foam on the seat definitely does not soften up over time, it's as firm now as it was day\week 1 (I'm ~185lbs). The leg fatigue is very real. The only way I survive in this thing 10+ hours a day (been WFH since 2016), is with the lumbar pillow & head pillow, plus I had to add a memory foam foot rest a couple years ago. The build quality is definitely solid, it's survived multiple moves w\o any tearing, fading, or any degradation of quality at all. However, if you want an actually comfortable chair, I'd steer as far away from a "gaming" chair as possible. Currently looking into the Autonomous ErgoChair2 as replacement.

Secretlab targets these videos with their adds. You can set a lot of parameters for what videos or chanals your adds are on, and who should see them. The SecretLab chairs have good quality materials, and the stitching is top notched. You hear this in all online reviews. What you do not normally hear, are experiences from a non-youtuber using it for more than 6 months. The chair is firm, too firm, if you will, and does not soften over time. So sitting on it for more than an hour will get your butt hurt literally. I find myself shifting side to side in discomfort, as the seat is too hard. I ended up softening the seat with an additional cloth cushion so I get more hours on the chair. I hear this reviewer mentioning this issue too. A cushion will help. The lumbar support is fine, but the support and height are not for everyone. For shorter users, it supports them at the right part of their back. For me, at about 179cm height, it seems to support the top of my hips more then the arc on my back. I stopped using it. So do be careful if you are near or above the recommended height. The arm rests will loosen over time, and start to move about. Not a big issue, though I would thought the mechanism will hold out longer. I have not tried other gaming chairs before, so I do not know if the above issues relate particularly to gaming chairs but to me, the purchase and price point are not worth it. I can easily circle through a few cheaper, more comfortable chairs with the money and with money left over. In summary, great materials, good craftsmanship but just not a comfortable chair to use.

SPHERICAL CHESS I don’t have either but have done way too much research on gaming chairs and I’d recommend the Titan. If you can put out the extra money for the soft weave version I think it easily trumps the Hero. The softweave fabric is such an amazing feature, it’s really insane how many companies stick with crappy pu leather. Both are pretty similar in lumbar support and have very firm foam (which can be good or bad depending on the person). Given your height and weight, either should be perfect for you.

Brandon thanks for the reply. I bought the Hero, and have had it about a week. It looks good and is comfortable to sit on. Time will tell.

My wife and I both got Omegas. We agree that the seat cushion is a bit on the firm side. I use mine in my studio so it gets a lot of use and has broken in better over time. My wife only uses hers for occasional gaming, so hers is not as broken in and still causes her some discomfort in long sessions. Aside from that, they are definitely very high quality chairs. We had some issues with customer support, but they eventually came through. We're happy with our Omegas.

what would be better is if you slotted the chair and it had a lock n release latch at the base of the back so you could dismantle it quickly for cleaning.

Yes but your legs will probably float and not plant the ground. If you don't mind that then yeah this is good for long sessions. I'm 5'9 and have to raise the base a bit.

Excellent review. One question I've always had with racing style gaming chairs is do the armrests move down and back enough to comfortably play guitar? I love the aesthetics on this style of chair, but I'm always worried that they just aren't functional as a music studio option. Anyone have any experience with that?
@alejodavies4 жыл бұрын
They definitely don't. They move, but not by much, and they're a bit wobbly. Straight up don't buy this chair unless you're racing in it. Don't race in this chair.

A lot of things changes with the TItan model, the backrest is really different and all the shapes are different from the Omega that almost all the Omega hugs you, and the TItan is less of that.

This is the most in-depth review I've seen yet. Thank you so much for this video. if I may ask, though, what are your thoughts on the Titan vs the Omega?
@Owlero5 жыл бұрын
Seeing as they probably wont reply to this, the main difference is the size. Materials and comfort are about the same, but if you're taller than 6ft and/or weigh over 200 I'd go with the Titan over the Omega.

You can raise and lower the base, but your feet might be floating in mid air still. All depends if you like having your feet planted all the time, I know some people who like when their legs float.

I'm torn between the PU Leather and SoftWeave. Can anyone confirm if the PU Leather gets too hot for the back? And if anyone has the SoftWeave, is the material thick enough that it'll last a few years? Cheers!

I noticed the intense pain in my butt it pinches the tailbone. But im so short my feet cant touch the floor i got the smallest one so idk if that adds to it or not. Another issue i noticed is its not stable ballence wise my cat jumped onto the back and tipped it over. I uhh also fell backwards leaning into it so yeah not sure what to do about that

I can confirm it makes your butt hurt after sitting in it all day. It is VERY firm. I've owned one for about a year (~14hrs a day) and I had to buy extra padding to go on top of it, along with arm wrest padding. Once you add these products, its almost perfect except the seat isn't deep enough for someone my height (5' 11" or ~180cm). If I had to buy again, I would buy the SecretLabs Titan as its a better option for taller people.

I've had a SecretLab Titan for a few months now and it's great. As this review says, it is a little firm. It's not the most relaxing thing to sit in, but it is supportive, particularly when you're at your desk for long periods. The Titan looks basically the same as the Omega, but it's a little bigger and therefore designed for taller and/or heavier people. Two minus points for me: first, the height-adjustable arms could do with some sort of fixed points so that you can easily set them both at the same height without guessing or (yes, I've done this) measuring! Second point was that my chair wasn't level after assembly. I ended up unscrewing the "lower" side of the base and putting some rubber washers in as spacers to level it up. You shouldn't have to do this on a premium chair, though. Those points aside, I've found this to be a nice balance between cheaper "ergonomic" chairs and the much higher-price options from the likes of Herman Miller. Definitely good value!
