As a a/p mechanic a 7 minute test flight is joke, Joe just did not want to burn the fuel, many critical safety of flight items must be checked on a test flight.

Gambling the cost of lives and metal on fuel savings is always a poor bet. Sooner or later that erases any and all savings which you'll NEVER make back. Yeah, 7 minute test flight was beyond foolish and a complete joke.

My army aviation unit flew the North Atlantic enroute to a training exercise in Germany. During training for sea survival the instructor stated that if having to ditch in the North Atlantic, without the survival suit you would last for possibly an hour and with it possibly 24 hours but either way you are going to die so it is up to each individual whether or not you chose to wear it.

Wha?! One of the water bombers crashed while being test flown by Turkish pilots after delivery. The pilot forgot to put the landing gear down. Guess you didn't watch the whole episode

only the 787 has electric anti icing protection on the wings. Most other airlines use engine bleed air for wing anti ice.

This is a new low for this dog and pony show. The scripted soap opera has become so boring and predicable that the writers used a crash that was COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the "show", using the deaths of those killed in that helo crash to add false drama to this garbage soap opera. SHAME!

Seems dumb to see a pilot smoking - he is operating at a 20 % efficiency disadvantage that a good pilot would not allow in his mechanical aircraft operation. Dumb and essentially substance abuse..

You've obviously never dealt with Canadians. For every "uh" or "um" and most adjectives and adverbs you would normally hear, they substitute "fu(kin". Some of the best folks I've ever worked with. Top notch pros. They just like that word a LOT.

@@mikemorgan5015 yep Mike i have, i did some work for First Air, we completed a C check on their B 737 , but only delt with the aircraft rep they sent down with aircraft, they do curse quit often, but so did we here in the states. THX Matt
