Lol at the 23:00 the nurse vs resident argument. The phrase nurses are trained for usual things and doctors are trained for unusual things is so true

I watch and listen to you two because I can relate to your passion, hard work and comittment to each other. I left woking in surgery many years ago, I could have continued if I had a great partner or therapy. Thank you for sharing your experiences and love. FYI - my wife snd I decided we were meant to be together after knowing each other for 12 hours, we are celebrating 51 years together in June. Thanks again for being the great people you are.

Miki! You look so pretty!! As someone who works with surgeons, please continue being kind, kevin! It’s pretty rare, and I don’t really understand why it is! The happier the staff, the more positive a patient’s experience is!

I had the same experience in the OR as a scrub nurse wherein I almost dozed off coz it was a 16-hour surgery. Good thing the anesthesiologist woke me up. I really enjoyed this podcast. It’s so relatable. Thanks for the reminder and advice

23:22 kevin should provide an example. Is it a chest tube insertion? Catheter site bleeding? Tesio cath insertion for HD? Just curious what he needed assistance with as someone who is in 3rd year

I watched my mom give birth when I was a kid, and was totally fine with it. Recently she got a fish hook stuck in her finger, and I was seeing stars lol The human brain/body is weird.

I went into the OR to drop off meds and all I heard throughout the halls was “BIG BIG BOOTY CUZ SHE GOTTA BIG BOOTY” and everyone was walking around like it was normal ☠️

I don’t understand why people think the fake teeth thing looks good. It’s giving black mirror. Your natural teeth or whatever you had before this were perfect. These look heavy for your mouth. I understand fixing a mistake or replacing a tooth but your teeth before were amazing, they were proportionate and straight (even though you don’t have to have straight teeth to have a nice smile, I know people with un straight teeth and a beautiful smile). Is it a status thing that people automatically think you have money? Cause they look unnatural.
