My art teacher for stage and set design on college helped with this project, his job was the boiler room and to detail it the the way it is, when the ride first opened the boiler room had mist and had some crazy effects that would freak people out, they soon had to turn off most of the effects in there for scaring little kids

it's a matter of time before Disney re-theme tower of terror to the other one it's when the licence rights expire with CBS who owns the rights to the twilight zone show, then they will change it.
@pianoman204 жыл бұрын
My fav secret about the Tower of Terror can only be seen at night. When the park is dark and the ride is closed, you can see one solitary window illuminated in the hotel, with the silhouette of a man looking down at the guests. This usually can only be seen when exiting the fantastic show. It’s really spooky I think!
@Wheels5184 жыл бұрын
Great video like always… I’m surprise you didn’t add in some of the other secret facts about the ride as in as you walk towards the road that the sidewalk is at a slight angle in the handrails or a different heights to give you that uneasy disoriented feeling and that the ventriloquist doll is actually the one from the TV series

Something you neglected to mention (or perhaps didn't realize) is that while you can see the Tower of Terror from Epcot, the only time you see it with one of the pavilions is when it's behind the Morocco pavilion. And since the Tower's architecture if Moorish revival - it blends in!

I love this and learned some cool things but there is one technical nitpick I want to bring up because it is also a cool fact of its own. You said the elevator moves along a track when you enter the 5th dimension and that is technically true, but it is a little more complex but very unique.The elevator uses a very loose wire track and wireless communication to guide across the show scene, making this a working prototype of what we see now in trackless ride systems

The cobwebs are actually dried up glue that has been splattered all over the place to make it look authentic. It does deteriorate over time but the cast members respray it when they can

More fun-facts; 'To Serve Man' also features Richard Kiel in one of his earliest performances! ('Bond' fans will know him as Jaws.) And #2; there has been a rumor since the 90's that parts of 'The Shadow' (1994) were also filmed in the ride interior. Who knows for sure? But it's fun to try and spot them! =)
@tigertail7774 жыл бұрын
Serling... repeat after me... Serling there is no "T". ;) There is actually a pretty lengthy song loop they play, my favorite song that just seems to fit is Vera Lynn's "someday we'll meet again". Next time look closely at the tops of the bookshelves in the library, you'll find some other props from TZ episodes.The little space suit men from "The Invaders" and the fortune telling machine from "Nick of Time". The end of the ride USED to have the slot machine from "The Fever" but not sure it is there anymore or not you used to have to sort of twist around in your seat to see it. I didn't really see it in your video, there used to be a giant eyeball close to the second drop shaft in the 5th dimension scene, in which you could see yourself reflected in its pupil via video. Another effect I am not sure is there anymore, when they did the 2.0 redo of the drop profiles, there used to be plastic semi lit ghostly figures of the people that went missing inside the elevator shaft you had to really look around fast to see them.

You're breaking my heart! It's Rod SERling, not Rod STERling. Mark Silverman is still used as the voice of Rod. He's done two episodes of the new Jordan Peele Twilight Zone as Rod. I think you missed a couple things, isn't the ride length depend on how many drops you get. I always heard its Random on how many you get. Also that dummy, cast members have to say hello to it every morning, if they don't the ride will have complications that day. Next video I say is ALWAYS GALAXY EDGE!!! But since we are getting close to Halloween you needed to do haunted spots of Disney World. Like that Dummy in Tower of Terror. There's a few others as well, where the cast members have to say hello to each and every morning.
