I didn't realize how fast the raphidophora tetrasperma grows. I put a 2 foot moss pole and my 2 inch plant reached the top in a few weeks; now I am thinking I will cut it back and plant the cuttings around the base so it gets a more full look. Right now it is just one tall vine.

I’ve been watering most of my plants every time I water with Jacks (a couple plants don’t like it), and my plants have more than doubled in size in a couple months! THANK YOU!! Unless I want to spend a lot of money on soil, I only use miracle grow soil and so far my plants are doing great! I am a heavy waterer so I use mainly their cactus & succulent soil, but so far my plants are loving it! Nothing wrong with miracle grow soil!

Thanks for sharing. I think you parent must've had a very established root system before you chopped it. That might account for the fast rebound.

Thanks Robert ! I didn’t think of that ! You’re probably right! Maybe my other one that I chopped isn’t doing as well because it’s roots probably aren’t as established .

Love my tetrasperma.. Leaves really got small after I brought her in from front porch at the end of summer. I added a daylight 5000K led light and leaf size really changed drastically. It is in a south west window. Maybe it needs to move to my master bath. But running out of room. LOL Mine is a tissue culture.

I'm hooked on this plant I have about 12 of them I wish I had a big one like that. One question what's your thoughts on the varigated ones I've found about 5 varigated ones.

I have never seen a variegated one in person ! I’m sure they are stunning and I would love to have one I love variegated plants ! There isn’t a lot of places in my area that sell rare plants if you know where to find them let me know !

I've never seen one in person. Do they have splits from the start? Or maybe have I missed them?

The immature baby versions of the plant don’t have splits at the start but they get splits as they grow older! However, most are sold with splits already !

I’m been really curious if the TC tertasperma looks different because it’s essentially an infant plant & would eventually look the same. Your massive TC seems to indicate that they will in fact look different for a long time, if not permanently.
@wrong16073 жыл бұрын
what would you look for in this plant when purchasing for first time..?
@plantluxxe3 жыл бұрын
Healthy soil and leaves. . . Thre leaves look the same more or less from an immature plant to a mature plant. I would get it at a local nursery or reputable seller online. Also, it is called minnie monstera or monstera Ginny. Does that help?

If I don't have a south window how will it do under a grow light?
@plantluxxe3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply! Under a grow light, it will be fine! I have tried it and have had great success....do you have an old fish tank? Get some sphagnum moss and plant away...they LOVE grow light plus sphagnum moss and water....they will dominate! Thanks for watching!

hi! I was wondering what I should do for my mini monstera that seems to be kind of stagnant at the moment. It was growing on a single vine probably two feet tall and i took a cutting for a friend (and of course had to cut from the main stem). ever since the plant seems to just have frozen in time. there are small white spots at other growth points that make me think there will be a new vine growing, but i’ve been patiently for over a month and still nothing :( any recommendations?
@plantluxxe2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Can your plant see the sun? It might need more light. They grow super fast in Sphagnum moss…maybe change the medium? What’s your watering schedule?
@masonponton61662 жыл бұрын
@@plantluxxe hi! it was in medium indirect light, but i just moved it to a brighter window hoping I would see progress. It gets watered once a week and i’ve just started using the jacks fertilizer you recommend. hopefully I will see something as a result.
@plantluxxe2 жыл бұрын
@@masonponton6166 that sounds great! Mine is in a south west facing window and grows like crazy! It’s my most prolific grower. I wait until my rhaphidophora dries out a bit before watering, I check it with my finger. When top inch is dry I water. Let me posted on your progress! I received an order online and the soil smells bad. Should I go ahead and repot? At first it seemed like a cigarette smell as strange as that sounds. Spent too much on it and don't want to lose it.
@plantluxxe3 жыл бұрын
Hello! I winnerIf the seller used coffee grounds or fish emulsion or egg shells? Sometimes that can make soil stink? I would delivery check the roots out and see if there is root rot because rot definitely smells gross. If the plant isn’t doing well, then I would try to very carefully remove the soil and then repot it.... however, if the plant don’t look healthy and you’re afraid you may lose it, then definitely repot! Let me know how it turns out... sorry to hear about that. thank you for watching my videos 💚🍀🪴🌿🌱🥰

@@plantluxxe Thank you for replying! Had NO luck with the company sadly. They forgot to put in the heat pack I purchased for shipping and they are not responding.
