Recommending people weigh themselves each day is just bad advice. Your weight will fluctuate day-by-day due to things like hormones, water retention and such, sometimes varying by as much as 5 pounds per day (for instance you're more likely to retain water after an intense workout). It's much better to weigh weekly or even just a few times a month. You cannot gain or lose a pound of fat in a day.
