Wow another good video! For those of us who cannot understand Japanese, the youtube English subtitles are great help. In 2005 I visited the Motegi museum, was a wonderful trip on the train, then taxi to the museum. A V5 racebike was practicing on the track, the sound was so unusual, maybe I will visit Japan again. I have many small Honda motorcycles myself, MBX80, NSR80, Moriwaki 80, Dream 50, Solo 50, maybe one day you will be able to interview about the history of these also. :) Many years ago Honda had webpages with information on the design of the Dream 50 and Solo 50, but I think they are gone. :(

Thank you for watching and commenting. We are publishing our videos and subtitles with the aim of making them available to people abroad, so we are all very happy to receive these comments. Please enjoy Japan again when you come back.
It was wonderful to see those drawings thank you, I have read that the RC166 ran with a choice of flat slide or round slide carburetors could you tell me if they ran with slow running jets as I would like to know the main reason the engine will not run at low revs is it carburation or lack of flywheel action.

@@DreamRunnerChannel Thanks but that does not really answer my question, apparently Honda also used different induction lengths to vary power characteristics.

A company was tasked to build a duplicate of the original that they took apart. It was a excellent story!

Thank you for watching the video. I know that there are some pretty exquisite replicas out there, and that's a wonderful thing.

Thanks for watching and commenting. I am checking with Mr. Watanabe, but I don't think he has any notes. Also, I think the materials used for the drivetrain parts were manufactured with high precision using materials available in the 1960's. RC166, are you making one? Not in Japan, but there have been elaborate replicas made in the past. Please wait for Mr. Watanabe's reply.

I asked Mr. Watanabe about it, but unfortunately he said he didn't have any notes on the material.

Thank you for your comment. I guess that's true, since titanium is no longer available and Inconel is the most heat resistant metal of the era.
