I cannot wait to get started on this pattern! I have been crocheting for over 50 years. My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 6 years old. She taught me how to crochet a chain. So I started crocheting yarn jewelry for all of my friends in grade school I made necklaces and bracelets of all different colors ( I rated my mother's yarn stash ) and my mother taught me how to make a granny square a few months later. Within a year I was making granny square house shoes and Granny square pocketbooks. I have gotten a family reputation of members of the family expecting me to give them scarves and toboggan says Christmas 🎄 presents every year 🧣⛄ During the recession I put my crochet skills to use. I made afghans, bedspreads, baby let's, stadium throws , my version of a snuggie, scarves and toboggan sets I call them to bogans some people might call them stocking caps, I also made mittens for children and adults I made cushion covers and coasters and house shoes and pocketbooks like I did in grade school. It sure helped pay the bills! But... I had a stroke a couple of years ago, ( Easter Sunday 2010 to be exact) and now I use crochet as therapy. My physical and occupational therapists praise me at my accomplishments these past few years because I'm back to my old self, when it comes to crocheting that is. ☺️🥰🧶 Thank you for sharing this pattern with us. I greatly appreciate it! 🥰

@@60x2andgood Thank you so much P ! If you want to learn more I would suggest joining an online group. Just like the one we have here :-) . I learned a lot from sitting in at my mother's crochet circles. This was back in the late seventies and early '80s way before the internet. She had a group of friends whose husbands all went hunting with my father and the wives would all get together and crochet on those cold weather days when their husbands were out during deer hunting season🦌here in West Virginia. They would all bring in new patterns that they found in library books, or magazines like Women's Day and Better Housekeeping magazine. They would all swap what my mother would call "recipes" or patterns for crochet. Everybody had different levels of crocheting ability. She had this one particular friend her name was Linda, she was what I call a real expert. She grew up in Michigan and still had relatives that lived there. They would mail her patterns that they had saved up over the years or different ones that they would find that had not reached our media outlets in West Virginia. When the movie ET came out she was the first to approach us with a crochet pattern for an ET doll! And don't you know it all of the mothers there started crocheting a pattern for that doll. My mother crocheted an ET doll that was 18 inches tall and it was gray and it had that extra long finger with a red dot at the end when he told Elliot to," Be good!" She made it for my baby brother. Over 35 yrs later, my little brother still has that doll! It's one of his most prized possessions. 👽🛸🥰
