I wish Texas had been able to actually finish that game. Gave me flashbacks to 2 games prior, when my team did the exact same thing. Austin was cool to visit and the fans were great to us. Now it's down to two teams I can't stand (OSU because of their coach, ND because it's ND though I like their coach). But yes, this season, especially the playoffs, provided great cannon-fodder for SEC shorts.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the SEC shorts this year. Pimp Vandy, the sprinkling of out of conference teams, all the unexpected hospital visits from anticipated cupcakes... absolutely great work! I'm not a huge fan of the NIL overall, but it has evened the playing field by a lot. The 12 team playoff also made it so you still have to have a deep roster to handle the late season injuries too. I wonder how the players are feeling with all these changes (besides rich). Lastly - I certainly hope they don't change the number of years eligibility...

I think they got the schedule setup for them well and a chip on their shoulder. I am not buying the SEC is dead arguments yet, they probably just had a bad year. We have had bad years in the past, but Saban's Alabama teams hid that. 2003-2012 was actually the SEC golden age.

If you go pre-BCS era, the SEC isn't nearly as dominant. I'm taking in head to head matchups. When you on at the records of other conferences vs SEC, it's a lot closer than SEC fans would ever want to believe.

Uh...here's their regular season schedule for this current season: Florida Int'l, Western IL, UCLA, Charlotte, Maryland, Northwestern, Nebraska, Washington, Michigan St, Michigan, Ohio State and Purdue. UGA fan here. Gunner Stockton seems like he is legitimately a great quarterback. I think he doesn't have the practice with being under pressure and the O-line just miserably failing is the real issue. If he was given just one more second on most of these plays we would've done a lot better.
