I like in the game, the paths you took, you got to see the different ineractions amongst the crew. The easier path you saw them more arguing among each other, but the harder path they did more agreeing and assisting.

Yeah, I didn't think about that either. Along with alternative dialogue based on when one of your teammates are present or not during a mission. Then there was Slippy's case in Sector X were he'll show up later in the level if he had to retreat from the previous mission.

Never really noticed before before I read this. And now that I see this, I remember the three "medium" stages Katina, Solar and MacBeth, having the crew's dialgue be something in between: the occasional complaining, but not against each others, such as them complaining about how hard it is to tell the good guys from the bad (and occasionally taking down their allies) in Katina, or cimplaining about the heat on Solar.

Sector X is a good insight to Andross' mind If you overthink it loads, like yours truly, you can piece together the utter disregard he has for any life. He used his own base as a testing ground for his tortured creation to destroy, and what a job it did. Complete catastrophe so his death-machine could have a trial run. Also he used wildly experimental and fucking creepy technology (the warp gates) to possibly transport troops/supplies? And I reckon the static-y enemies in the warp zone are the troops that never made it to the other side. Eerie, no?

Spyborg went rogue during construction and destroyed the base while still incomplete. It wasn't a testing ground for Spyborg; it simply malfunctioned. That's why it insists it must be complete and seeks its creator, since it wasn't finished when it turned on the base.

I remember this song always making me nervous, so this level was really nerve wracking, but still very fun.

The music makes you feel like you are flying through an abandoned space station or an area of space junk. Two possible explanations with that. First, that's the case, the place was made to look barren and abandoned to deter others from finding the secret weapon. Second, the secret weapon went rougue and destroyed the place because before we can find the main body its arms are flying through all the debree.

This was such a creepy stage, the wonder of why the base is destroyed, the spyborgs bits and piece zooming around, the loud creaks from the old defense systems and walls, at the weird looking X shaped nebula in the background. The atmosphere just felt so dang unsettling. I loved it

You almost have to have bill for that to work, even with the blue lasers, it's extremely difficult to get the doors open. Make to go to Katina before Sector X and Bill should arrive to open the warp.

Doable without Bill, but it’s not easy. You need the blue lasers and you have to mash that shoot button FAST. The moment you see a gate you’ve got to basically just spam the shoot button.
