Awesome promise, Pastor Tom! Jesus Christ is the gift of salvation. Without Christ, we can do NOTHING! I live in Orlando Florida, and afraid that this area is swamped with calvinism.

What a great sermon. I hope others will find it as much as a blessing as I did.

Thank god for this. For 3 years i listened to gene kim and thought i could never make heaven because of sin in my life. I didn't clearly understand Jesus took all my sins and punishment on the cross so i could know for sure i was saved. That i only had to put my faith in the finished cross work of Jesus alone. 😢 thank you for this.

Then why does God judge us according to our deeds if it is not by works?
@Northlandchurchstc9 ай бұрын
There are two judgements. The Great White Throne Judgment and the Judgment Seat of Christ. The Great White Throne Judgment is for those who have NOT trusted Christ. Since they did not accept Jesus Christ's payment for their since they must pay for their own sins. They will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. The Judgment Seat of Christ is for those who HAVE trusted Christ as their savior. Their sins are covered by Jesus Christ's payment and they will have everlasting life with God. This judgment is for what rewards they will receive in eternity. 1 Corinthians 3: 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
