Ave Romani ✋ Usually videos with more than 1 hour are tiring, but the way you play or build the atmosphere of the game is enjoyable, especially the details you highlight, like sewing alliances before starting a war (just like you did with Masaesyli after Medhlan conquest, preapering the up coming conflict with Qart-Hadasht), this is how the Romans acted - most DEI players ignore this and simply forget that there is a diplomacy option, only use it to extort other factions or sign peace agreements. Keep up the good work.

I have a suggestion/advice; Depends how these nations progress you may want to try and get an alliance with Ptolomei (Egypt) and Macedonia. In couple of my Rome runs I've noticed that either: A) If these nations are not yet destroyed and are doing well than Epirus may try secure alliance with Macedonia and Carthage with Eqypt. B) It is likely that if Epirus and Carthage are doing well, they might declare war on them and in possible worst scenario gains more land boosting their own war efforts against Rome.
@TWSummary2 жыл бұрын
Firstly, thank you for the write up and keen insight. (A) excellent suggestion really, an alliance with the Ptolemaic Kingdom would really be a fruitful one, and will last until the Marian reforms and perhaps even into the Imperial reforms. The Antigonidai however, will soon be under the Republic after the Second Punic War. Especially since the Kingdom of Epirus is no more. (B) Total agree with this, and will consider this.

A couple of questions: Why do you keep leveling up the zeal of political characters for example? How do you fight against armies with stretched-out frontage, if you keep a narrow frontage?
@TWSummary2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I hope you are having a good day. Good questions. Firstly, zeal and authority are important to unlock cunning, and cunning can be used for various political actions. Such as assassinations, entice, etc. Keeping a narrow front allows you to have more troops in reserve. The AI doesn't change width and stick to the default width set by the mod. Reserves have several advantages, as seen in my battle against the Veneti. - You can use them as reinforcements when the Frontline is exhausted. Remember, an exhausted troop suffers from 50% strength, which means they hit half as less and get hit twice as much. So replacing them with fresh reserves means you get a 50% advantage against exhausted enemy troops - You can react to unforeseen circumstances like in the battle against the Veneti you can see me apply two different strategies on the left and right flank. On the left flank, I use my reserve prinicpes samnitici to extend the frontline and prevent encirclement. On the right flank, I use the reserve principes samnitici to encircle the enemy. In other words, reserves allow for greater tactical flexibility. - Reserves are a great way for preserving you more expensive heavy hitters from taking losses and using them to swing the balance with greater effect against a tired foe.
@Spectification2 жыл бұрын
@@TWSummary Of course. I was just wondering, because I fought a lot of Nomad tribes in the last campaign and they had they whole armies streched out. I was wondering, if narrow frontage wont get encircled.
@TWSummary2 жыл бұрын
When fighting the Nomads, you have to stretch out, they are the only exception. Bunching up will only make your troops eat more missile damage.
