Security Breach's Post-It Room SOLVED - FNAF Theory

The sticky note room in Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach is one of the biggest mysteries of Security Breach as a whole, and while many people have tried to solve this room, I don’t think the true answer has been revealed.
MatPat on Game Theory suggested that Gregory was the Crying Child and lived in that room prior to FNAF Security Breach. John on FuhNaff pitched Charlie Emily, daughter of Henry Emily and spirit of the Puppet. Funnily enough both of them also suggested that the occupant was Patient 46, but that’s not what this video is about.
I don’t think either of these answers is correct. Or at least, not completely correct. I believe I’ve figured something out about Security Breach’s post it note room that no one has figured out, and it all starts with one note telling someone else to get out of their home.

The idea that Charlie and CC became close after they started to forget themselves is really cute and really sad. Given how close Henry and William were before shit went down, I think it's reasonable to assume Charlie and the Afton children were friends (or who knows, maybe they were related by blood via Henry and William's partners or sum'n). So the idea that Charlie and CC were close in life, both died because of William, and then 50 years later became close as ghosts feels like something Scott would do, and as I said, is really cute

A great example of how well you showed your evidence: you didn't just tell us that the texture file is called Charlie door, but also that it is used elsewhere and NOT called Charlie door. That really showcases the deliberate nature of the naming and that this IS something we should be paying attention too, rather than something we are reading into too much.

I've been looking for someone who points out the fact that a similar silhouette to Gregory can be found on the newspaper, and that fact that it would be weird since he claims he has no home. enormous props to you for making this video, it finally feels like the room and it's connections to the story makes sense

I think the Charlie and Crying Child in the notes room is a slam dunk---feels like a GT revelation honestly. All the evidence and random notes no one else brings up align well and it feels like something they'd use to misdirect the community. Similarly, ignoring the punctuation in the wall riddle clarifies the meaning and I do think it works the most towards Gregory. Well done.

This actually makes so much sense considering this exact thing happened in one of the logbooks. Where secret messages which were seemingly random and meant nothing when put together implied a conversation between two characters. And not to mention its possible that interaction happened inside of golden Freddy where Cassidy and the crying child could have possibly shared a room . This theory is so good! To be honest I wasn't a fan of GTs security breach interpretations and I really like the first video of Fuhnaffs but the last 2 seemed to trail off topic for me and this just ties everything together! @@alexrivers8163 I don't think that is the case here RSQ and Shadow freddy aren't glitchtrap glitchtrap only affected one game and that was fnaf VR good try though on solving RSQ it's been a long theory that RSQ are the deaths of workers that were left in the Shadows or something like that I don't think this is the case either if we shouldn't trust the four core games anymore to some degree then RSQ is either a "mistake" in the game or since RSQ literally does nothing expect crash the game it's something that only easteregg characters can do and were important to the lore if the Shadow animatronics are important then they are probably test animatronics when Afton was trying to recreate giving gifts giving life the first two experiments were thrown away because it didn't work properly they were there but also not they were Phantoms real ones not fnaf 3 stuff

This theory makes so much sense. Imo it even aligns with Gregory’s attitude throughout the game. It also shows why Gregory is not remorseful for dismantling the animatronics. Robot kid leaves his room and gets caught for the first time, probably sees dismantling the other animatronics as some type of fun game or activity. ALSO it shows why Gregory is crafty, and knows his way around some parts of the pizzaplex! Very well done theory, honestly amazed with how this theory makes the beginning of the game and the story actually feel natural, and that there’s a real goal. Great job!!

@@Staurcomb they literally are kinda dumb, GLITCHING robots. They already had kinda extra personalities, it makes them more likable to children. The virus made this worse with monty acting out and breaking stuff, roxy having mental breakdowns and a clear inferiority complex, and chica eating literal trash. The game isnt meant to be hard because they three main robots or staff bots are dangerous. The moon, music man and the blob are the only real threats aside from afton. The animatronics are just there to slightly hinder you. They are not meant to be that much of a threat, they do gwt a bit more dangerous when you break them tho. But only slightly

With the Nightmarion staffbots I think this might be Charlie’s workroom, with Charlie using spare parts from staffbots to construct new bodies for the other kids. This would be consistent with her portrayal as being the one who originally incarnated the dead children’s souls in the animatronics in the Give Life mini game. It would also explain why the Crying Child was there, she had created a new body for him and was probably training him to be human so he could go out and live his life. In the bad ending we see a newspaper clip with a bunch of missing children. What if each and every one of them was one of the original murdered kids, rebuilt by Charlie and sent out into the world to live their lives only to be recaptured by someone?

These are some really solid points. I really like the idea of the code being a list of commands that would help explain for why Gregory acts the why he does in the game vs how he acts in most of the endings. The only time we ever see him get scared or even cry is in the endings

You actually convinced me with your theory that Charlie and the Crying Child were at some point both in that room. But I have one question/suggestion: I find it a little strange that they communicate through the notes so much, when it's clear that, if Gregory is the Crying Child, at least he can definitely speak. You mentioned that they could use the post-its to remember themselves of their past and I agree, but messages like CC demanding Charlie to leave make no sense in this perspective - he could simply tell her. So I wondered if maybe, they were never TOGETHER in that room but at different times always (like one during the day, one during the night). Maybe they even shared the security clearance, which would explain why Gregory has none: Charlie took it with her when it was her turn to leave the room. Maybe it was her who was spotted by Freddy in the intro cutscene (we never see it's Gregory). When Freddy reactivates, he is already in his room. I find it a little unlikely that Gregory managed to climb into Freddy on the main stage with hundreds of visitors not noticing. So my guess is, that Freddy sees Charlie in the crowd, then the Virus shuts him down, he then gets transported to parts and service or his green room and THEN gregory at some points climbs into him and reboots him. Maybe Gregory went out to search for Charlie when she didn't come back for some reason and gets seen by Vanessa and therefore hides in Freddy. His "fear" of her could be simply coming from the fact that he doesn't want to leave and is afraid that Vanessa will force him to leave the place, having to leave Charlie behind. (he can't be afraid of her being Vanny (if she is Vanny), because Gregory hasn't seen Vanny befor the game, so he can not think of her being dangerous in the sense of killing him) And another interesting thing I noticed (maybe you have an idea, if it is important): I took a look at the retro CD transcripts again and noticed something: on CD 12 the session number is 7146. The 71 stands for Vanessa and the second number for the session number. But here it is coincidally 46, like the code for the unknown patient 46. And from my experience of the games, this would be a VERY strange coincidence, as tehy could basically freely choose the session numbers. And to make it even more strange, AFTER this session, all other CDs are only from patient 46 as Vanessa moved to a new location. This together with this number combinations seems like some kind of "removing" Vanessa. Also the wording "I'm needed somewhere else now. Thank you." seems to me like it is not her decision to move away (probably to work at the pizzaplex) but manipulative influence from either 46 (which would make sense, when he/she doesn't want Vanessa to visit the therapy sessions, which I find very likely, especially as 46 took sessions before Vanessa even started and continued afterwards, or she was manipulated by someone else who wants her at the pizzaplex to revive Afton? I'm really curious how you interpret this seemingly coincidental number made from 71 and 46

As for them using post its to communicate, my main suggestion wasn't remembering, but that there were people nearby who they didn't want to get caught by, so they had to communicate while staying quiet. The Hello and Goodbye notes wouldn't make much sense to me if they were there at different times, you know? As for the patient 46, I made this video back in February that gives a good idea of my thoughts on her (as non-English versions of the game use feminine terminology for 46) Thank you for commenting!

@@IDsFantasy Thanks for responding. But I must say that I am not sure that the fact, they use "she" in other languages does have to mean anything necessarily. For example, in Mass Effect you play as Commander Shepard, which can be male or female depending on what the player chooses. There is one official Mass Effect movie ("Paragon Lost"), where they call them a "he" in the German version, although their gender is not canonically determined. So it could also be that in Security Breach it was just that the translators thought that all therapy sessions are the same person and that's the explanation.

this video blew my mind. you deserve a sub for that. as you said, gregory/crying child (i'll call him CC) lost his memories somehow. 2 of the proofs we have is the fact that he's not familiar with the Pizzaplex and also how Charlie seemed like she was trying to help him remember, in the poster room, with the notes she wrote for him. Though, something i found pretty weird was how they were communicating through notes... that means they were not together (since they can talk... right? even when they were "coming" to life (during the binary paper notes)) but that doesnt mean they didnt met. Who knows, maybe gregory's looking for her during the gameplay, maybe that's why he locked himself in Freddy: so that he could search for her. This is just a throw but im not that confident about this, how they're searching for each other. They don't seem to be enemies... i mean, since she was kinda trying to help him remember. Concluding, it's pretty well confirmed at this point that both of them are related to the pizzapplex. We don't know their relation to each other or their goals, tho we know Gregory lost his memories somehow. hmmmm this is getting interesting im loving it ahaha

i also think it's interesting how gregory says absolutely nothing about the sister location room. he has lines for other similar things, like “hey, that wall just moved!” when he opens a door.. why wouldn't he go “holy shit i just made a me-sized door appear with a camera”? maybe it's just chalked up to game logic, but it makes me feel like he's seen it before or was expecting it in some sort of way.

Maybe the Post-Its were used not as a way to stay hidden, but they just didn’t “evolve” the ability to speak yet. We see that they have to evolve to the sentience that Gregory exhibits, who’s to say that, until they both gained the ability to audibly speak, they could only communicate with the Post-Its. Then, once they fully managed to converse with their voices, they stopped using the Post-Its since they weren’t necessary anymore.

Who do you think is the author of the wall code? I think the fact that it's in Michael's room should indicate that it was Michael writing it, but if thats true, then that also presumably implies that Michael was simply ""alive"" rather than say possessing Glamrock Freddy. @@IDsFantasy Could it not be Charlie? I think the phrase "I built the breath" is very key, couldn't that be associated with the Puppet? And that could explain the binary in the room; maybe it has to do with the fact that she was coding the crying child, and creating him, a robot. I don't remember if the binary code actually had translations or not, and whether or not they were important so I could be completely wrong but that is kind of my reading into it. Besides that, if she were to have created the crying child, there is a question of motive; why would she do it? Well, it could be due to the fact that she thought she could use him as a tool to shut down the pizzaplex and stop the virus from spreading, afterall gregory's sole mission is to kind of ruin the animatronics and get the pizzaplex closed to "stop murders". The "murders" could be referring to the possesions by glitchtrap, which would result in more deaths. And is he not semi-successful in his mission? In what is considered the "true ending" he is able to burn the pizzaplex to the ground, and maybe achieving charlies mission of stopping the virus. Just food for thought.

Almost as soon as you mentioned both Charlie AND Crying Child sharing the room and conversing with each other, my mind went to FNAF World. It's heavily implied that the purpose of FNAF World is to set up Happiest Day from FNAF 3 and the spirit of the Fredbear Plush is speaking to C.C. so that he can not only put his memories back together but to enjoy the birthday party that was denied to him so that he and the other Missing Children (who may have been his friends if C.C. calling his FNAF 1 plushes that is any indication) may finally move on. While we don't know who the second speaker in the Fredbear Plush is (and if anyone does, please be sure to respectfully correct me), it's sure that whoever it is is a spirit possessing it. And your theory makes me think that if this is Charlie with C.C. in the room, then that pretty much confirms that she was the one possessing FP is FNAF 4. And this is a way of putting him back together. I've been watching Shadow Libra who has been theorizing about the above so I'll be sure to link them since they were the one to bring it to my attention. Also, this is just me, but I can't help but feel Pigtail Girl from FNAF 4 has importance to C.C. because of her text color matching the second FP speaker and FP's head appearing in a flower next to her (with unlit/black eyes and the only other time FP appears in a flower is directly in front of C.C.'s house). While I do love the "gregory is chosen to be the new crying child" concept, cause it makes for a great horror story, I think there's also merit here, cause an emily and an afton becoming friends on even ground is like a romeo and juliet story that brings together two warring factions (or tears them greater apart). With this theory, the story scott/steel wool could be trying to tell is these robot kids being built are learning childish naivety and bringing that innocence back into this heavily complicated story of villains. This could be a story of revenge and rivalry between william afton and henry emily, but charlie and crying child's souls inhabiting new bodies and forgiving the actions of the others and just wanting to live normal lives or rest their souls sets up for quite the climax in my head. Either way, the pen vs crayon sticky notes are definitely there for a reason. even if it's just supposed to represent a change in character and not two separate characters, in a series like this, that is definitely a key detail we need to hold on to.

I have a theory of how Mike fits into this. The source code of AR had an unused email account that belongs to Michael, of which the emails were canon so this email might be canon as well. This could insinuate that Michael is still “around and kicking”, that he somehow got out of the final pizzeria at some point: before the fire, after the fire but before the pizzaplex, or during or after the pizzaplex was created. Judging by him having an email, he must have been able to espace and find some help, maybe an investigative team; so maybe Mike was supposed to be emailed and told that something was going on at the pizzaplex, and his help was needed. Regardless of if this email is canon or just a “troll” by the AR team, it’s not completely out of the question for Mike to still be around. William is stuck as Burntrap, the kids are stuck in The Blob, Cassidy - and possibly Henry if he’s the red guy - is stuck in video games, and Crying Child and Charlie are possibly stuck in “replacement robots” as you’ve theorized. So maybe Mike, with his remnant filled body - of which remnant has been shown to heal in the books - was able to narrowly survive, and possibly heal, and/or possibly adopt some robots into himself similar to how the blob is all melted together, and William’s flesh seems to have actually wrapped itself around his metal body, even the new parts of it. Either scenario, Mike could be able to be in the pizzaplex, hiding in the shadows and figuring out how to fix things. He could have been the one that built the secret room. Maybe he was able to take and reprogram 2 of the replacement child bots with Crying Child and Charlie’s souls. But then at one point Crying Child was captured and his programming messed with, but Mike was again able to partially reprogram him with that wall text, and help him escape. What happened next to him is a mystery. He could be in hiding, or maybe he was captured. But now let’s look at his connection to GlamFred. I see 2 possible ideas. 1. Micheal was able to partially put his soul into Freddy, so that he could keep Freddy in control and to protect Crying Child/Gregory and Charlie, incase they needed help. Or 2. After Mike was captured and possibly killed, his soul found refuge inside GlamFred, affectively putting him in a similar scenario to CC/Gregory, having memory loss and acting more with their programming rather then themselves, but still partially having their memories and partially acting like them (ex: Fred’s protectiveness of CC, and his “second wind” being Michael’s protectiveness and determination). Sorry this is so long, watching your video just activated my theory brain and presented some evidence that could fit into the theory I’ve been wondering about for a while. Also, great theory and video.

Some things I´d like to point out: At 0800, you were talking about the 7 smiling faces, called "Friends". Couldn´t it be that they are representing charlie herself and the children spirits in Freddy, Foxy, Chica, Bonnie and the two trapped in golden Freddy? Basicly the Fnaf 1 Cast, since we know that the puppet was also at the Location, we just didn´t get to see it in the first game. This would add up with the number of faces and spirits. Since it´s canon that killed people (in this case: children) forget some or most experiences they had in their life, what if the crying child was the way he was, through a traumatic event, wich he forgot after he got bitten. Maybe he was a brave boy before that, the kind of boy we see in security breach, wich lead him to see "something" he shouldn´t have . For example: Like seeing his father (Wlilliam) killing a child around his age and through that, never felt any kind of safty from that point onward, wich would be the cause of many mental issues to cause his constant fear and crying. He would also probably have been seeing this, without the knowledge of anybody else, so there would be no one to remember him of this event. These are just my thoughts and maybe I didn´t get the details or timeline of events right. But how can anybody really be with this franchise, except people who have sacrificed their sanity for it (staring at you MatPat) XD If there are any objections, I´ll gladly be corrected, since I want the questions that fnaf SB threw out there to be answered as much as the next best casual fnaf enjoyer :)

Your explanation is so clear and solves so many loose ends. This is an exciting video for any Fnaf fan or theorist. I personally think it is likely that Charlie's soul is within the robotic body of an Elizabeth Afton bot probably to make it easier to control her, she is single handedly the biggest thorn in Will Afton's side, raising the very children/animatronics that would later cost him his human body/life and ability to hands on experiment with remnant. The exclusion of both Baby and the Puppet from being 'alive' in some way in the blob indicates that they are still alive somewhere, they may have even been removed from the blob somehow and clearly have definitely been revived as robots. They have much more defined personalities than everyone else who may be in the blob and would likely cause some issues when the inevitable 'Afton Amalgamation' arises, as Charlie says "the others are like animals but I am very aware". I think this is not just a statement that reflects her and their behavior in UCN/Hell but in general, in any game, Charlie is always self-aware and kind, the others have lost much of themselves. Evidence seemingly continues to pile up that no one but Henry himself died in the fire he set at the end of Pizzeria simulator, which in my opinion isn't very good story telling but hey ho can't change the facts son.

Hi! Love the theory and it makes sense! I personally think the DLC will discuss which spirits are in the pizzaplex. Aswell i honestly believe that somewhere there is a connection to Cassidy/Golden freddy. It feels empty like we should just ignore it and live with the fact that they are torturing William in purgatory but the one thing that has remained consistent with the games is that when theres a William, theres a strong spirit. I'm getting a headcanon of the lore combining your theory, MatPat's, and FuhNaff's at once. Two kids being in the basement might be possible, but what if, like in the books, there is 2 souls in one body? Them talking, but not interacting, is kind of weird if there is 2 bodies there. The reason Vanessa might be looking for Gregory is because one of those souls in the basement had possessed him, and now Glitchtrap is ordering Vanessa to recapture it and put it back in the basement. The secret message is something I would guess to be a message for the crying child, and now that it has found life in Gregory, like the message suggests, it is now his aim to free those with souls. Im older now and have realized and come to terms it was because I’m trans that brought me that much discomfort that I was a girl in a sea of guys but it truly warms my cold dead heart to see a lady here. Pretty good theory, the only issue i really have with it is saying Charlie has the Glitchtrap virus because while robots can get viruses, it doesn’t make sense thematically for the one who gave gifts gave life to the missing children to then be infected by the killer. Even if she was infected, his control would be difficult because she says she's "very aware" even when the other animatronics seem just as away or even more so (Mr. Hippo is the even more so) so she might've meant more spiritually or whatever the robot version of that is. If she is as aware as she says she is, she cannot be manipulated as easily.

I've been loving these fnaf theories cropping up lately. It's becoming clear now that absolutely everything in this game is meant to be looked into with the finest-tooth comb we possibly could. That's going to be crazy if we start trying to pick apart everything. Just due to the sheer magnitude, but it's clear there are a lot of deliberate choices made about this game we were meant to find that just... Weren't at all cohesive or noticeable. I know everything has pretty much been stripped down and looked over, but the fact it took us so long to notice the smallest details of "which writing instrument wrote this" to "sound and model of of broken glass only placed in one hidden room" makes me wonder just how much was hiding in plain site. Security Breach always felt like I was missing the story, missing something staring me in the face. Obviously we all had the reaction of "this doesn't really solve or tell us anything" at the end, but it also surprised me that everyone kind of took the story at face value. The game franchise was built on scrounging every detail, I just don't think it translated well to Security Breach because you don't get a sense for what's relevant, a normal customer complaining, a lore arrow, workers talking to each other before disappearing. This makes me want to try and dive into the game just to pick over the rooms the Princess Arcade cabinets are in, the out-of-the-way employee cafeteria where it's implied everyone was murdered. That room always bugged me - I know it's where people died, but we were all too scared of the bad vibes in the room that we wanted to get out. The hidden endoskeleton with cake smeared on it's mouth is genuinely unsettling (There will be cake!). That story feels unfinished as of now. We can track the workers being told to got to the staffbot meeting, and often whenever workers are being instructed to go somewhere or are getting too curious it leads to another body. One is even titled "where is everyone", implying that workers keep stumbling onto Vanny's plan and getting munched. Every nook and cranny when you have a set amount of camera angles is a bit more forgivable when you aren't looking at a 60 MB file download. I don't know how any of us were supposed to find the story hidden in the tiniest of details when everything was kind of pushing you to not sit down in one place and just go go go, while giving you what felt like a half-hidden story to begin with. Lots of go find this, cryptically and with few details. Collectibles can be fun, pixel-scrounging isn't. We had the very obvious post-it room, and the Vanny bedroom pointed out to us several times. We were literally told where the lore was located at some times, then gave us an inconsistent story telling language. Something that bugged me too about the post-it room and the Balloon Boy arcade cabinet room was there were SO many points of lore hidden there. Crammed in, which makes it feel like either everything is meant to be taken with the same seriousness, or to brush off these areas as *maybe* lore but we'll never know. There was a lot of story telling in the making that gives you a direct path there, but nothing in what you're meant to be looking at, looking for, or what it is meant to be or even telling you. We were shown something big in the room that must be the focal point, arcade cabinet, crazy amount of notes/a family of robots. However, then the game would give us locations and themes where we are meant to figure out everything ourselves by the dust on the floor. If you've made it this far, thank you for reading! I don't know how to talk about this series without writing a dissertation. I love this game and adore how it brought the community together - trying to forge their own stories out of the building blocks we were given - but have a hate-love relationship for the same reason. There was so much care and love with this series that's so present and seeping from every pore, but we weren't able to piece together what was love and what was story. There are so many dangling and twisting threads that really NEED to have themselves being shown how they work in-game. I don't think with all of the possibilities on the who-is-who we've opened up that we'll really ever find a clear solution unless outright stated. It's going to be difficult to piece together a story when we don't really know what's meant to be taken seriously in this game. Thank you for your theory, I adored this! It really brought to light how much we have been missing in this game.

What's really interesting is that it seems like because they put so much time into developing the physical building, they didn't have time to include the playable story they had initially teased and cut it back, but even so there were still all the story elements in the building's design itself. It's really cool and makes me wish we got the playable story to supplement it more, but hopefully Ruin gives us more to work with!
