We love the night binoculars that we won on the 24 hour live stream. They are powerful and love the zoom in and zoom out. An image stabilization would be helpful especially out on full zoom. The recording feature is really nice because you can always go back and view it. It will be extremely helpful when we are in calving season. Thank you Mike for promoting this very useful tool whether you are a big ranch or a small farm. Norm & Donna

Night cameras a really helpful. My son uses them on tri-pod to hunt coyotes. Very helpful to make sure you know what youre shooting. Farming and other occupation are always changing and getting better. Enjoyed the video.

Take a look at the advancement in farm machinery, todays tractors are a huge improvement in many ways from those of just a decade ago. I encourage OWL to seek out the interesting and unique tech that may help ranchers.

I think the best reviews are side-by-side reviews. I understand we cannot see what you see in the dark... but knowing if a new product is better than an older product is always good to know. New doesn't always mean better. I also understand different products are better for different uses... so hearing your take on what situation a product is best suited for, is nice to hear as it allows our heads to think of similar situations in our own lives we may "need" said product. You'd also mentioned about using it in the house to check the yard at night. Seeing that in this video would've been a nice addition, to see if it would help us see what's causing a commotion... with lights on or off, indoors. It was nice to see how clear the white face showed up, even if it was up close. How you were able to see black cattle in the dark with them though, eluded me. I hope they help you with the barnyard troublemakers. :)

Hey Mike. Try putting the device up to your eyes. The binoculars have a formed visor so it fits your head. Maybe a little bit more steady.

IR can't see thru glass. The lenses and IR ports are made of germanium that let's IR pass through. IR reflects back off of glass and windshield plexi. LOL (former FLIR tech).

Mike, I think I would be investing into the new DJI night vision infrared drone with the bigger battery combos. I know other livestock owners use them to check their herds and for watching coyotes, and other intruders. Good video.😎

We can not only see in the dark we can shoot in the dark. Make sure you’ve got the right tool for your needs

One feature that would improve the NV200 would be the addition of image stabilization. Because without that feature I think they are lacking, also the images on your older FLIR unit seem to make it much easier to spot the cows mainly because the really stand out even the small calves. They might also add a thermal feature. Also Mike maybe it is just the camera but I think the new Gator needs to add a LED light bar because since the majority of your cows are black you need more light when driving down range on the ranch, don't want to run into one of the cows or cavles.

I have a FLIR Scout just like yours. Unfortunately, you are incorrect about it being good only at night. It detects changes in temperature (ie, infrared) It is not limited to use in the dark, as technology that amplifies light is limited, since amplifying already bright light can cause damage to those systems. Put another way, there is a difference between IR scopes (ie, the FLIR) and night vision (NV200). IR can be used even in extremely bright light, whereas NV can only be used in reduced light or with the use of light limiters.

We use some tech tools, because sheep have to be moved pasture to pasture. We set up WiFi trail cams in each pasture some with night vision. They connect to the other halve's phone. If something crosses the beam it sends pictures to his phone.

If you press the binoculars to your face you will stop the shaking and eliminate light coming into the back lens. It should give a better view.

I have a little charger that looks like a heavy cell phone. I leave it on my dash to charge it up because it's solar. Then when I need it I use the charge from that to recharge whatever device is dead - cell phone, night vision etc. That' would probably be good for you too. Or you could recharge your night vision with a USB cord to your cig. lighter in the gator. ;) Thanks for sharing. Love your videos.
