Thank you for making this!! I super appreciate it, it helps to learn matchups too. I think. I'm a scrub rn and it's so helpful for a new player like me. I had no idea people hated may because of ToD damage, I thought she was just annoying because totsugeki too good and too loud. Quick suggestions - when you update this, consider cutting a phrase from ky's intro, it feels redundant (you say he has good neutral and is the king of elyria twice in a row) Also, in axl low's segment, ya mean cannot be overstated, not understated :p

I was worried for a bit that the jargon you use might make this hard to understand for newer/beginner players, but I think you overcome that with the excellent presentation. The footage onscreen demonstrates the character's style and strengths really well, and the editing/framing helps a lot too. Very well done, I hope these videos will stand as go-to's for a long time

Really like how you describe the characters with a bit more... Character, to put it like that. You don't sound like you are robotically listing off strengths and weaknesses, you sound like you are talking about characters that you actually really like, and I'm all for it. Chipp actually has another, ill be it slight weakness. His damage output relative to the rest of the cast is on the low side. To access most of his damage he either has to do it on high risc, with tricky counter hits, or by using tension. This basically just means he has to win more interactions in netural/pressure. Granted ya, his netural is incredible and his pressure game of the most oppressive ones in the entire game, but its still does feel like a weakness due to his incredibly low health pool. You can win 3 interactions in a row and then eat a counter hit and suddenly the game is equal.

Axl and bridget are both the more annoying characters of the cast in different ways

@@adamswing6115 so normally I like controlling the screen and I actually played Axl on launch, but haven't played since Jacko release. I picked up SF6 and I'm not enjoying any of the zoners. It has me playing Cammy out of the "she's hot" aspect versus enjoying the actual gameplay. Tekken 7 I play Asuka and Eliza, so my character preferences are kind of all over in playstyle.

After a few days of SF6, hearing Sol has an advancing, +2 on block normal seems kinda whack now lol. Can't wait till you tell newcomers that Asuka has a +113 special move.

I am new to fighting games and guilty gear strive is the first one I am trying. I really liked the concise and simple description from your videos. This is helping me to start learning fighting game basics. One small feedback on your videos - I feel like when you speak some words with low volume, they are barely audible (for my non-native english speaking ears) and I miss some of the words and struggle understand the sentence. This is a problem especially because most of your sentences tend to trail off with lower volume. I would appreciate if you can improve on this. Great video! Thanks.

I’m noticing that characters in this game don’t tend to have huge, glaring weaknesses. It’s as if the developers took special care to at least try and ensure that you don’t want to blame your loss on your character, but rather, blame it on your ability to use the character.

I'm surprised you didn't say "he's a zoner end of story" because even though it's true that his main game is to zone you, I find mixing between rushdown and zoning is more effective against your opponent. getting knocked down, take space by running up and go for CS-FS-5H-rainwater, from there they're going to try to punish rainwater even though they really can't punish it. At this point you have a decision to do rainwater or you can run up and keep pressure, or run up for a grab to push them towards the corner but the main point is to do a action and see what kind of response your opponent does to use that against them, as you are keeping a good distance away from your opponent but not too far like most zoners think. And the whole commitment 16:45 part is the reason why I go for rushdown so they don't have the chance to get the upper hand on me. Also you had to have a decent defense by the way

guile has similar inputs but exact opposite playstyle, if you want a rushdown character with a reversal then I'd suggest juri or jamie

Yeah I definitely thought about this after I wrote that part of the script and realized the exact same thing you did lol, I think sin’s does have more corner carry esp if you do the 100 meter dump, but yeah RTL is still the highest corner carry super in the game lmao

Great video. However, sometimes you lower your voice too much and I don't always understand what you're saying, especially at the end of sentences. For example: "Oh, and he has a time stop super. You know [???]"
