Excellent design and demonstration Andy . As you have said - spring traps lose their spring after a few days . Rubber - motorcycle inner tube is nifty if one carries it , but this method is the best one to know and it works better than a deadfall trap . Nice to see one of your earlier videos ! Thanks again !

Cheers Lefty. I really like this type of trap to. This time last year I set one of these up over three days. Caught nothing the first day, but got a rabbit on the second and third day. Second one caught by it's back legs which is unusual. I incorporate this weight type trap in a new one that I'm recording this week... Baited net trap. Going to show my method of net making and might even do a catch and release. Possibly cook? Not sure how my viewers will take it as I'd have to dispatch it by hand as it's a live catch trap. Thanks for watching Lefty, take care my friend

Easier and more reliable than the spring versions.

+Hawokki Defantly! Iv had good results from this one in the past. The biggest problem with spring snares are after 3 days or so, sooner during summer, the spring will set in the curved shape and loose it's spring. Where the rock will never loose it's weight. Thanks Andy

Will it work with bigger animals. A bigger rock sticks and noose

The only difference is a spring snare is faster. This is an excellent trap it also works for bank line fishing. Good video, Thank you.

Thanks buddy. Yeah, I'd always prefer a spring snare when it comes to the rabbits and small critters alike. Iv got a video on my favourite three spring snares, check it out if you get chance? Main bonus with the See Saw trap is that it can be set for longer without the spring loosing it's power, drying out or setting in that bowed shape. Cheers, Andy
