I dont know what to say Steve except keep plugging away to try and get that algorithm to finally put you at the top. In other words for as many fishing channels, especially bass, yours should be near the top as far as i am concerned. I am no beginner bass fisherman by any means. However I always learn something from you. I am grateful to you and entertained by you. Excellent video.

I've only just found Steve's channel and the few videos I've watch so far are great - what I especially enjoy, is that the videos are shorter than some other people's videos, but Steve still get the content/point across. Keep up the great content. Thanks

It never ceases to amaze me how versatile a soft plastic jerkbait can be. There are just so many different techniques and presentations you can use and they all work so well at attracting fish and generating strikes. Another great video!

Another very informative video. I use this rig a lot for trout and I didn’t even think about a couple of those retrieves. I’ll be trying them tomorrow.

Same here, i learn alot from Steve. It was presented to me once that a beginner bass fisherman learns alot quickly, then as you gain experiences the learning curve slows...once you flat line, for some reason your mind opens up again.

Steve I would love to see a video that that compares as many types of senkos/stick baits as possible: Comparing fall rate vs. salt content. Comparing how each version falls; shimmy vs glide. Thanks for the effort on your videos, I look forward to always watching the next one!

That would be a great one! I will try to get that done. Thank you.

I love fishing this kind of setup Steve. It is one of my go to baits every time I get out on the water. I never thought of the finger tap idea. That bait looks great under water! I'm going to try out those retrieves this weekend. I'm looking forward to getting that bundle! Thanks again for all your efforts!

Steve nice tips with the finger rod tap , and line hitting your finger. I also have a tip , I use a loop knot , I use it crappie fishing as well . I find most of this technique is just an enlarged Crappie setup

Cant thank you enough for these awesome undwater videos it takes angler's like myself understanding of luer presentation AND application of same to a never before imagined possible level of understanding One video I might suggest you make is how to get a chatterbait to dart through the water as erratically as possible Again great thanks for great content as I feel you truly are formatting your content to help fisherman looking to get better not necessarily tournament better but improve our fishing skills significantly all the same No better content out there

Steve - You're on some Holy Grail stuff there... reeling it and tapping the rod makes that thing look just like an alewife. We have them here in massive schools and they're really squiggly in the back end just like that thing looks. Juvie shad probably look really similar. I don't think I've seen anything look more like the real bait than that. That's a lot better than the action from excessive shaking like I've seen most anglers do.
@SteveRogersOutdoors4 ай бұрын
Thanks! It is so interesting to watch what the slightest movements can do. This is my favorite lure because of how real it looks.

I found a local pond with huge bass in it. Saw them literally coming 7 feet from shore with polarized lenses. Hoping some of your videos will help because I've only managed to catch bass with spinners and spoons while jigging believe it or not.
@SteveRogersOutdoors7 ай бұрын
That had to be awesome to see that! Try making some casts standing back farther from the edge of the pond if there is room. Those fish were probably aware of your presence and that makes them tough to catch sometimes. Let me know when you catch some of those bigs! Good luck!

How big would you go on this type of minnow and jig?
@SteveRogersOutdoors6 ай бұрын
That is a great question. For this size of finesse presentation I really like the 3 1/2 in lures and I most often keep the weights in that 1/16 - 1/8oz range.
