They have one of these at a candy store in Los Angeles. Blew my mind at the time.

The people using these facilities look happy to use them. I was worried that you had no privacy but looks like you would. I think there should be more public restrooms with showers for the homeless, people that choose to live in their cars (car camping) it is a thing, or for those who are traveling. Besides the rest stops, just not enough of those. This is pretty genius.

Install these in almost any other country and they'll be smashed within a week.

This feels like an overall ingenious yet fundamentaly flawed design made with 100% good intentions. A design that works primarily on the basis of "if everything goes according to plan..." - [re-watched vid edit: it requires electricity to become transparent... ma bad 🤦‍♂️] Imagine if theres a powercut; it becomes unusable - imagine if youre absolutely desperate to go, you get in and find the lock is broken or the catch is damaged/blocked; it becomes unusable. (I cant be the only person to have used a loo where you need to hold the door shut) - (i have no knowledge of the glass design) im guessing but would it be possible that if an area of the glass is damaged, it may not recieve electrical current; becomes unusable. Its a rather ingenious idea, (one that probably wouldnt even require lighting) but (in my opinion (brace yourselves for an internet opinion)) it could do with a secondry privacy method (something like a 5ft square board either side of the toilet) . Something that, should all else fail, provides just enough privacy to retain functionality. (Im gunna watch the vid again just in case im chatting s!@t and the concerns i mentioned are negated)

In the US we need bullet or car smashing proof glass. Do you all have any of that?
