Best zippered pouch tutorial I’ve seen. Easy to follow, and pouch is so neat. THANKYOU🌺

I love the way that zipper went in and especially love how neat and tidy it looks. Much nicer than bending the zip ends together which leaves an ugly (to me) bulge.

Fantastic zipper tab tutorial. Very clear instructions. I could see all the steps. Especially the part where you show the direction you folded the zipper tab when sewing the side seams.

Great tutorial, thanks. When sewing the side seams, do you sew over the tabs(include them in the seam allowance) or up to the side of the tabs. Do you have a tutorial to show how to make the bags, with 2 fabrics and the lace ? Thank you
@bethp84363 жыл бұрын
No, you do not sew over the fabric tabs on the zipper ends. Sew to the right of them without any of your stitches catching the fabric. The tabs being free can turn nicely allowing the top of the bag to be straight all the way across.

I just discovered your videos and I ❤️ them! I have a question, I’ve watched this video several times- and I must be missing something. When you first sew the first side of the zipper in you say to start from the edge. Then you start from the tab for the top stitch. But when you sew the second side of the zipper you start from the tab, not from the edge like the first one. Is this deliberate and if so why, if you don’t mind me asking? 🤗

Thank you for such a helpful tutorial....just a suggestion. When you are doing sewing tutorials it is helpful for me to have both outside and lining fabrics to have a clear right and wrong side of the fabric. When you use a pure white lining it can sometimes be a little confusing if are you putting right sides together or not? Just an idea that helps me see better what is right sides and what is wrong...but total thanks yous for s great tutorial and many good tips. Thank you.

Great, helpful video. Could you suggest what wadding you would use in such a pouch please?
@sewtotallytrisha13503 жыл бұрын
I use Vlieseline Thermolam, a lightweight compressed polyester wadding, a little like felt.

Trisha, could you tell me why the tabs don’t extend to the raw edges?
@sewtotallytrisha13505 ай бұрын
So that the tabs aren’t stitched into the seam allowance. The tabs will give a neat top to the pouch.😀

Sylvia Cooper - 2.5” x 2”. The 1/4” turned back is t each side of the 2.5” edge, giving a 2” square to fold in half. Hope this helps 😁
