I love these then and now videos. I always imagine people seeing videos of us now, but in the year 2137 and thinking "wow look at how they lived back in 2024, how primitive"

These 'then and now' comparisons are fascinating. As someone interested in the surviving clues of former 'lives' in extant buildings, I find these illuminating and it's great to be able to pick out the small areas that remain essentially unaltered. Many thanks for all the hard work in aligning the modern footage so precisely to the old films.

Boston Massachusetts and Aarhus Denmark are the cities I have spent the most years of my life. Can you do such a then and now video on one or the other of these cities? It must be fun for New Yorkers who are familiar with all the architecture and scenery from daily life to see these videos. It must resonate more for them, therefore my request about Aarhus and Boston, I think I could be really affected by a video like this of my home town.

The city was so clean back then and everyone was dressed so nice. I wish people still had that same sense of dignity.

I live here and I have plenty of dignity, thank you very much.

There was plenty of horse dung. Massive piles of it. Just not shown.

These films only show the good parts. There were major slums filled with tenements.

they all seem to have been brought from somewhere and released into the streets. I don't believe they build those houses
@JayKarpwick6 ай бұрын
"I can't believe" =/= proof. Some of us had relatives who lived there in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They didn't "stumble around", and they knew who and how their buildings were constructed. FFS study some history. Not everything is a stinking conspiracy.

So much hidden history and false history about this city. We may think we know but we have no idea

And _you_ have the "true" history that's being hidden ...? A few examples would be, umm, interesting. (And *no,* NYC was NOT built by Rubeus Hagrid & Co.)
