The number 2 nobby from the 'pick a winner' competition was Justin's pick of the entire bunch.
There is great hope for this particular nobby, it has an exceptionally thick color bar compared to most. To take advantage of how thick this color bar is, there may be some slicing involved, but you'll have to watch to find out if it pays off or not!
Here is the gem

Love, love, love this pair. I look at your opals and can't really afford what I want, because y'all have increased the value of my desires. Your vids have really opened my eyes to the world of opals and now I am obsessed. This pair really speaks to me....ahhhh one of these days I find just the right opals for me that I can get. FYI, wouldn't buy from any one but you. Absolutely gorgeous pair that I feel in my heart and soul. Thank you!!!

I cut and polished an opal very similar to that Justin, from a parcel I got from you and Ruth. Turned it into a wedding present set in mother of pearl for My new Niece from Milan, Italy Lake Como. Came over to the US to marry My deceased Brothers son in spring 2022. Barely speaking English during the wedding reception, trying to find the words to explain how beautiful it was, She cried very happy tears followed by the best hug ever. You just never know just how powerful the gift of a handmade gem is until You give it. Thanks Justin. You touch more people than You will ever know

@Justin, I did some research on building a diy “soft” X-ray source to take pics inside these opels. It’s probably too much for any of your contacts to build, but, they’re not “terribly difficult” to build. It does require a 35Kv power supply, a beam supply vacuum tube and so fourth. It’s not that expensive. It does require much caution to prevent electrical shock and X-ray overexposure. If you’ve got any ham radio friends, it should be easy for them to build. In Australian talk - cheers!

Justin - lovely gems! FWIW, I prefer the videos where you provide verbal analysis of what you are doing and why, even if it's dubbed after the fact. IMAO, it’s the "why" that makes your videos interesting. It also adds drama to see if your instincts about the "why" were correct. In this video, you cut the rough opal (nobby?) with the saw before it even touched the wheel, leaving it to my amateur, uninformed opinion as to why. That's just my opinion, and it's worth exactly what you paid for it.
