Well KZbin! My long 'rona hibernation is over!
I've been having plenty of adventures, meeting cool people and enjoying some awesome experiences, and the food! My lordy the food! But yeah nah, just been a bit slack filming and then making edits.
I am absolutely THRILLED how this sunset time-lapse turned out, it took months of meticulous planning, even had major issues resulting in the original filming date being pushed back 1 day, luckily Mother Nature played along and helped with the show!

Well I guess a bit of a recap is required! Meet Jeanie, I met this little legend on my December 2019 trip to Siargao in the Philippines. We hit it off and stayed in touch after I got back, but do you all remember what happened not long after? The bloody rona! So we did the whole long-distance thing thinking it would only be a few months of disruption, not gonna lie, it was a hard time not knowing when that debarkle would end, it dragged on and on! Long distance couples we're dropping like flies! And we came close a couple of times, it was hard... But when restrictions started to ease in mid/ late 2022, we finally got to see each other again after about 2.5 years! But I couldn't go to the Philippines and she couldn't come to Oz, so we met up in Bali for a 3 week adventure together, 1 week of which we spent on this island, Nusa Lembongan! We squeezed in another trip a few months later back to Nusa Lembongan, and on that trip, Jean's Aussie tourist visa got approved, so we booked her flights there and then! And on New Years eve eve 2022 she arrived in Oz! I already knew, for us to make it through that time, we had a pretty special bond, but after living together I knew for sure... So we did this trip in July 2023, did a bit of exploring together in Mangsit, Lombok, then headed over to Lembongan. I was going to propose the evening we arrived, but there was a HUGE ferry delay leaving Lombok, luckily the weather forecast looked good for the following evening. Managed to keep the ring hidden the whole trip, but that day I was a nervous wreck! Haha. I knew she would. say yes, but the nerves still kicked my ass a little. I told her I hadn't filmed a sunset timelapse in ages, so we should grab some bintangs and catch it before dinner at The Sampan. I dunno how I managed to keep myself composed as the moment arrived, but I made it through without kooking it too hard haha, and her answer was a perfect example of her fun character, especially the happy dance! It made everything we endured worthwhile, and perhaps even a little sweeter to know we passed such a huge test. Well, thanks for watching, expect to see more of Jeanie, we have some incredible adventures ahead! Bloody yeah!
