The three that were arrested and expelled from our local college WILL NOT GRADUATE, none of their last semester courses will receive grades since they were expelled before finals, and they have been permanently expelled. All of their previously earned credits are available for transfer, but they will not be graduating from that college. They are claiming that they will file legal action, but the students were advised IN WRITING, and IN PERSON, multiple times, that if they continued, they would face expulsion (pending a committee vote) and if expelled, their current class credits would be forfeit if they were to be expelled. Our college president personally went to them and told them that this was the final warning (apparently they do not believe that final means final). They were given 30 minutes to leave. The president walked way and returned EXACTLY 30 minutes later with the police, and they were arrested and removed. As they were being arrested, they yelled that they had not been given a chance to leave, and that they police "trapped" them there. They are toast, the actions of the president were directed by the college's counsel, who drafted the letters, and scripted the verbal warnings, which the president read verbatim. They dotted every I and crossed every T. Two faculty will face a tenure revocation hearing later this month, and termination from lying to the police, and providing alibis for the "protesting" students committing crimes captured on video. The faculty gave written statements saying that the students could not have slashed tires of cars with Israeli flag stickers, because they were with the students at the time the tires were slashed. Video showed the students committing the crimes, and records, and video shows that neither of the professors were on campus when the crimes occurred. One was actually "protesting" at the capitol building hundreds of miles away when she supposedly had both of the students in her office for tutoring. Both professors have been charged with giving false information and obstruction of and investigation. Liberals know no boundaries when it comes to lunacy.

I've never heard of such a thorough documentation process for this sort of issue. That university deserves some recognition for how well they're handling this. I'd hate to be the lawyer for the students.
@Renville8011 күн бұрын
Kudos to the university for dotting all the i’s and crossing the t’s. That will make it difficult for anyone who wants to represent these people to build any kind of case against the school, and easy for a competent judge to dismiss the case with prejudice.
@roseskavnak667111 күн бұрын
This is s great example for all of the IVY league schools that think they are above the law, nothing has “ screamed”. privilege like this before.
@tanjajohnson465911 күн бұрын
@@alpyki2588 The college president knew that when this type of action occurs at major universities, while not to as great a scale, it will happen at smaller colleges and universities. The board had already met with the lawyers for the college, and the local law enforcement officer commanders. The lawyers scripted a response, and created forms to be delivered, and procedures to be followed. Each notification, each warning, each announcement, was followed exactly. When they get to court, on their criminal cases, and on the civil cases (if they chose to file), they are going up against a granite wall, where each step was crafted, followed, and documented. I can see no grey area, or loopholes they can squirm through.
@tanjajohnson465911 күн бұрын
@@Renville80 They have already been provided legal representation, I do not know two of them, but one is known for representing radical criminals posing as "protesters". She has not been to our county, and I think that she will get a wake-up call, and a quick education from judges that will not accept her usual grandstanding, and media "interactions". I have seen videos of her yelling at judges, interrupting judges, and stomping out of the courtroom. I am confident that she will be admonished as to appropriate behavior, and if she will not control herself, she will get some time in the county jail, and removed as a litigator in the case.

@@maryjane_lanethese folks aren't in trouble for their speech. They are in trouble for camping. The news report strongly implied that several protests over the same issue had occured in the past week, where people could and did exercise their free speech rights without penalty. What happened this time though is that they attempted to pitch a tent in an area that was not a campground, and when told they couldn't do that, obstinately refused to remove the tent. A university can simultaneously respect free speech and enforce a rule that prohibits camping on campus.
