Күн бұрын

With my sister visiting from California, our family decided to play tourists in our own city, Chicago, IL. First thing we did was head straight to the Willis Tower (formerly known as The Sears Tower). This Skyscraper first opened its doors in 1973 as the world's tallest building-a title it proudly held for nearly 25 years. Towering over the city with its 110 stories, the Willis Tower stretches up to 1,541 feet. Join us as conquer our fears at the Skydeck's Ledge, where you are literally standing in a glass box suspended over the city. Let’s Go!

I don't really look back at photo albums very often. So I'm trying to incorporate some of the classic photos into our videos. Such a fun adventure. Can't believe how much stuff we did. Now, time for San Diego. We rented the Car in Vegas today and found boarding for Falkor. Almost there.

Jack visited this place as a kid when it was still Sears Tower and still the tallest building in the world. I have never been. And would have to pass on standing out on that ledge. But you did get some beautiful views of Chicago. Thanks for sharing the views with us!

Wow, look at that tshirt weather! Can't wait! Your sister looks exactly the same from those "old" photos as she does today, lol. Those are some good genes! We go to these towers a lot when visiting a new place. It's always nice to get a new perspective on the city.

A perfect place to start exploring Chicago. Great views from the top. We have whats called the 'Eureka Tower' in Melbourne and it has a glass ledge. You would love it as it would give you the best views of Melbourne and its Sky-Scrapers. Thank you for taking us along Carl, certainly the first stop I would make on visiting Chicago.

I love showing people around my hometown! Chicago is the best! I hope you send your videos to City Pass! They need to give you some freeby passes. I love the view from top, but I'm not as brave as you. I can't stand on the glass floor.

Next time you are here, we'll have to show you around. CityPass are you listening? 🤣. Scary thing is that one time the glass on the bottom shattered for someone. Luckily it is really thick, but I would have peed my pants.

THAT is freeky standing over like that. I'd probably do it for the experience but I can't say I'd truly enjoy it! 🙂 I'm not sure if the Rugged Mountain Siblings would go out on that or not! I love architecture so that tour beforehand would be pretty cool.

I agree. Several years ago someone was standing and the whole bottom shattered. Luckily it is very think with many layers. But that would have scared me. Learning about Chicago and doing all the photo ops was fun for sure. Curious what the next DMS / Santos Chronicles Adventure will be this year.

The start of the video gave me chills! I am so afraid of heights you cannot imagine! But I would go up there just to challenge myself :) I would love to see Chicago! I read that next year in December (2025) Romanians will be able to go to USA without visa so I will go for sure, starting New York then I'll see what else based on the budget I will have. Loved that photo of you, your sister and Allison! Adorable! Second city...:) Wow, Barack Obama, Oprah, Michael Jordan!! Huge names! That lift ride was scary :))) Those views amazing!!! man great eyes to see that Flamingo! Wonderful new video you guys! xx

I felt safe up there. But as I was telling a bunch of folks, one time the whole floor shattered for someone. It was all over the news. Luckily it is thick and it was no issue. You have a great memory. We went here but was suppose to be in Chicago 360. At that time this was closed due to the pandemic. Sears Tower for sure. We just need one giant indoor stadium that can house all our Chicago Sports. There was some talks that the White Sox were going to move also.
