Sydney (Neve Campbell) and tabloid reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) survived the events of the first "Scream," but their nightmare isn't over. When two college students are murdered at a sneak preview of "Stab," a movie based on the events from the first film, it's clear a copycat killer is on the loose. Guys, you can't figure out Ghostface by what they look like or are wearing outside the costume. No matter who the killer is, when they're Ghostface, they wear black jeans, black military style boots and are approximately 5'10" tall. Everytime. It's one of those thing where you just have to go with it in this series.

Test audiences reacted badly to Dewey's death & it was rightfully changed. I guess Craven felt this might be the case even during production & filmed him surviving anyway, thank goodness 😀

I love 3.... don't know why alot of people hate it, the killer reveal is stupid. But literally everything before that I loved so much. Spoiler Alert.... after 3 the Scream movies became too predictable and dumb. Let's hope 6 is good, 5 was literally a disappointment to me.

This is actually one of the first movies that got it's script leaked online. Originally, there were going to be 4 killers, though Mrs. Loomis was always planned. Also, hardly anyone gives Kevin Williamson credit. He AND Wes Craven are the parents of Scream.

Definitely watch I Know What You Did Last Summer, both that film and the Scream films were written by Kevin William. At the time, IKWYDLS and Scream help revitalize the slasher genre. Plus, all the films starred some of the biggest young Hollywood stars at the time (e.g., Sarah Michelle Gellar - who was at the time starring in Buffy The Vampire Slayer).

The killer was already in Sydney's house that sfternoon, remember she heard a creak from inside the closet but didn't investigate. Friends was in it's third season when this movie premiered, it ran from 1994 - 2004.

This was a fun movie! Yes, the end was a bit campy... but part of the killer duo being Billy's mom was a good twist. Also, I'm not sure if you heard it, but Dewey's stab wounds went into the scar tissue from Scream 1. THIS CAST, which continues to be amazing in future films, is so stellar 🎉

Just a tip for the future films when trying to figure out who the killer is based on the size. They never really match, because it’s the same stunt man for many of the films. And they always use a voice changer.

If you look very closely in the background of the sorority party you can see Matthew Lillard a.k.a. Stu from the first movie, Matthew Lillard was dating Neve Campbell aka Sidney at the time and was visiting set when they needed background actors for the party he has blonde hair though. My family and I always joke that aunt Jackie was the killer because Roseanne drove her crazy and she finally snapped. Google was created in 1998 a year after this movie.

My favorite in the franchise is 1,5,3,2 but won't go into why no spoilers. I do love seeing the actress of Jackie here though and by the way Rosanne herself was in Nightmare on Elm Street number 6 called Freddy's Dead...not my favorite but was still interesting. Sarah had no idea what part she woud play in this one and didn't read the script before saying yes because she was too excited to be in a Wes Craven film.
