I love how this movie really focused on the alien nature of the symbiote. Venom is cool as a comic book character, sure. But the fact that he’s an alien with his own mind combined with a human is what makes him so unique. And that can be creepy and cool.

The doctor Dan is such a nice guy. He didn't care that Eddie was his girlfriend's ex and that he was being very weird in public. He acted as a doctor should and didn't let personal relationships be a factor in his actions here.

Fun Fact: In the comics, Riot is actually one of Venom's spawns and was experimented with by the Life Foundation, merging with a mercenary and becoming the arch-enemy of Venom and one of Spider-man's Symbiote antagonists. Here in the movie, Riot is a separate entity that is not related to Venom and is more of an accomplice.

Spiderman ruined Eddie's life in only a few of the universes. Most often Eddie Brock was his own downfall. Often being a fraud or doing reckless stuff as press. Venom usually being his messed up redemption.

Venom is an anti-hero. One of the best in my opinion. You should learn the symbiote names and who they are if you are going to watch the sequels/whole series. It will help you connect the dots. Venom, Carnage, Toxin, Riot, Lasher,Lasker, Knull, Hybrid, Agony, and Scream are just a few.

Putting Knull in the mix of names is sort of an odd decision, seeing as how he's literally the creator of the Symbiotes, he's not really a Symbiote himself.

Fun Fact: Logically Venom is among the weakest of Symbiotes, the reason for this is because the more colourful a Symbiote is, the more powerful they are and Venom lacks any colour at all. So Venom being a black Symbiote makes him one of the weakest and a Symbiote like Carnage who is red would be very powerful.

Because of the differences in who made this and Spider-Man not being involved, somethings were changed. In the comics eddie Brock venom was captured by Carlton drake and he experimented in him which cause the venom suit to become pregnant with 5 offspring, being that they’re asexual, including riot, who is the villain of this movie.

My theory is that going to reintroduce scorpion in Spider-Man 4 and after secret Wars they're going to brain scorpion back again to be the venom for the MCU. Scorpion is the only villain in the MCU who hates Spider-Man just because he Spider-Man and it has nothing to do with Tony Stark or any other variant of Spider-Man issues.

My theory is I that Ned will be coming to hobgoblin in Spider-Man 5 and while Peter's wearing the black suit he almost killed Ned and then scorpion find it and become venom for the MCU. Then at the end of the movie in a post credit scene they thought they killed it then flash find a piece of the symbols and he become agent vemon.

I’m quite glad it wasn’t rated R because so often nowadays studios make movies a bloody, gory mess and try to play it off as funny or cool, but it makes it unwatchable for someone with a weak stomach like me. That’s why I can’t watch movies or shows like Deadpool, umbrella academy, and invincible. It also makes people desensitize to violence more so than violent video games, in my opinion.

While I loved Venom, I am very annoyed with the next movie Carnage. Carnage is VERY much an adult comic and the next movie should have been R rated. Carnage though would probably be the most violent/gory filled MCU/Sony movie ever though. It would make Deadpool look kid friendly if it were R. Actually, I imagine if they went full Carnage mode, the movie probably could have gotten the rare NC-17 rating. Not that they would push it that far of course. None the less, I am disappointed with Carnage. :/ But, rating aside, its not to bad of a movie. Venom is still the better movie.

This isn't the Venom that I grew up loving and neither was Spiderman 3 but this one is a lot more like him than the crazy things they did in Spiderman 3. Any way I love how this movie takes his idea and makes him more of an anti hero than a villian and also creates it's own story as well. The one that the evil boss became is tecnically in the comics one of Venom's many children but he is one of the worse other than Carnage. The reason the hosts die isn't like in this movie though because once they find a host Venom's people feast on them from the inside out until there is nothing left but with Eddie Venom liked him and so he decided not to do so. I love how Tom Hardy plays this part and the fact that he really does make it look like he isn't in control of his body also they brought in She Venom too soon though it is interesting that she would be Eddie's love even for a moment. The scene where he sits in the lobster tank was all Tom Hardy's doing and not in the script so the confused looks on the actor's faces was real which is funny. I love Michelle she is an amazing actress and it shows here as well. Grate reaction guys.
