Have you tried or tested SAKO TRG 42A , any clibers? I have a TRG42 with a NF scope on top. Bought it at a bargain price on gunbroker, but I really want the TRG 42A (338 lapua Magnum). Mine is also a 338 LM. Let me know what you think. Or do you have alternatives a bit less expensive than the TRG42A. Thanks.

Just got my Seekins 6.5 prc. Absolutely a dream rifle. If you think you may want one, order soon. They are way back-ordered. I have a 300 RUM that shoots sub 3/4" at 200yrds. The Seekins easily out shoots it. Made right here in USA. At least last time I checked Idaho admitted it was still in the USA. (sarcasm)

If you’re not satisfied send it back to Seekins. They have a shooter satisfaction guarantee and will cover the cost for you to ship it back. If you haven’t given the company a chance to make it right you really should complain about the gun in three separate comments on the same video. Also the magazine is supposed to be carbon fiber if you bought a ph1, ph2, or element in 300 PRC.

Great review and honest too. I was wondering if you would share any DOPE you had on the ranges you had shot out to. MOA at 500 600 700 etc. As you stated ammo is expensive and I would like to tune my custom built 300 PRC. I shoot the 212 Hornady ELD X at about 1 inch MOA. If you had any to share that would be great. 26" carbon fiber barrel with 1:10 twist. I shot an Elk at 550 yds at 9.4 MOA but have not been able to get out there and get my own DOPE yet. Thank you for the great reviews.

Dope is different for every load and different altitudes and atmospheric conditions. I've had to adjust my dope by over 1 mrad at 1k yards from 1 day to the next with the same load just due to changes in wind direction temperature and humidity. Asking for dope...especially if they are shooting at a different altitude isn't going to help that much.
@carpenternick1
@carpenternick1 9 ай бұрын
Dope can change every few hours depending on weather and atmospheric conditions. Use a ballistic calculator at the range, with current conditions, and then verify that it's accurate by actually shooting. That's all you can do.

Alright, maybe I will email them directly and try to get one. I can't seem to find the exact one I'm looking for. The problem is I only want to use Nightforce and even with high rings my barrel takes up the bottom half of my scope. I'm going to try the zero moa rail and if that doesn't work I'm selling it and going to the havak element with a 22 inch barrel. It's too expensive of a setup to not be able to use the scope I want.

The 4-32×50 NX8 wouldn't work at all on the 22 inch barreled element or the ph2. Even with high rings I could see the barrel plain as day on both guns. Sold the element, sold the 4-32,and bought another 2.5-20×50 Nx8. Now with medium rings it is still there but just barely with the ph2. So I found out the expensive way I liked the 2.5-20 best and I liked the ph2 better than the Element.
@tjames525
@tjames525 Жыл бұрын
Seekins told me Remington 700 bases don't work and they don't make 0 moa. So 20 moa with the 2.5-20 NX8 is the best you will get with nightforce.

I don’t understand why with 4 lugs, they would still design it to be a 90 degree bolt lift!? I love the feel, look, and accuracy but, it should have been a 60-70 degree bolt lift. I was super pumped about the rifle but when I got to pick one up and cycle the bolt, it felt like it was more than 90 degrees. My only complaint really. All in all, it’s crazy how budget friendly it is for all the features.

90 degree throws aren’t as stiff as 60-70 degree throws when operating because there’s a longer motion in which you cock the firing pin spring. Look at the PRS guys shooting custom actions, they are almost all 90 degree throw actions.

300PRC whole purpose is to shoot HEAVY bullets in shorter barrels. 1: 8 to 1:9 minimum. Seekins seems to be the only gun manufacturer to not understand this. Unless they know better than everyone else? I called them, and they seemed to not be able to give me a straight answer on this. To bad.
