The scenarios described in the Sura at-Tauba are certainly about a call for qital (military response to some immediate or impending threat, or to direct attack. I have no problem with that, nor do I need any unnecessary 'hard to beive' details, because the Qur'anic message is loud and clear, namely, when a call is made by the authority (in this case, the Messenger of Allah sws), the believers must be ready to comply. Those who do, have obeyed the Messenger ( and Allah, the Most High), have done their duty, and so, in sha Allah, will hope for rich rewards. But those who make excuses (hypocrites) will suffer in both words. Finally, those believers who fell into the Satanic trap of comfort, repented after a bitter remorse, and were forgiven by Allah. That's the gist of Sura at-Tuba and the Message is effectively conveyed there. The rest is all hype and fairy tales many people can come up with while sitting in their comphi bedrooms....Bhraha diva hai Zara Zabe dastan k liyay.
