Can’t do, bezels of Seestern and TF differ, as that the TF’s bezel only outside of the bezel turns.

I have that exact Seestern and it has also been +1 second per day. It’s a great watch. It feels very well made and punches way above its price point. Seestern all the way here.

I just received the Seestern V 2 today. I have the teal blue dial. So far so good. They also gave me a rubber strap for free.

What colour was the rubber strap on your teal Seestern? Today I received my aquamarine or teal frog and they gave me a dark green olive coloured NATO which I will never use I would’ve much rather preferred a black rubber strap

Very fair and considered review. I agree with a comment below that if the Seestern had the Tactical Frog case it would be the overwhelming winner. As it is, still the Seestern for me (I also prefer the hands on the Seestern).

Another thing I sure noticed when looking at my new frog is how long the second hand is, I’m practically looking for scrape marks on the inner metal chapter ring it’s so close to touching I think that’s so cool, The distortion from the sapphire crystal makes it look like it actually is. One other thing I found interesting is there was a dark blue sticker over my crown where the little frog is etched. And when I peel the sticker now the frog is highlighted in dark blue. Kind of a cool touch. Also I think I prefer that the centre links are fused because can you imagine how annoying it would be to perfectly line up all the rows of rice beads to re-insert the screw pin.

Very well made comparison as usual. Thank you so much. As mentioned before I do have the V1 Frog and the V2 Seestern. I like them both very much but I wear the seestern a little bit more often. I think that‘s because of the new color of the dial. The silver dial ist so well made. After all there are a few things that I like more with the Frog: 1. the slimer case 2. the domed Crystal, very vintage 3. the much better clasp. Opens and closes much better. The bracelets don‘t wear that different. I think as a lot of other viewers: A combination of both would be great. Like you‘ve said, both of them aren‘t perfect, but I like them. Have a good time.

I have the TF 300t in the same color & just received the Seestern 600t. Not the same watches of course but the Seestern is visibly better in terms of finish, it just stands out.

Very well thought out comparison, for me the seestern just takes the win, its still the better of the two and is the one I would go for. Now if you could blend the two by taking the Tacticals case and putting everything else from the seestern into it, that would be perfect.

From a observation of the video the Seestern is nearer in appearance to my original Doxa Sub 300T. I have to say I’d like to pick up a Seestern in the black dial (Sharkhunter in Doxa parlance) version.

Excellent video! For me personally the Seestern maintains it's edge over the Tactical Frog with its better build quality, the better bracelet and the actually usable bezel. But if I had bought either watch in it's version one I'd not be happy to already own an obsolete watch.

Good video. I own the V2 Seestern in orange and am quite happy with it. Tactical Frog can't seem to figure out how to produce a proper bezel. First the tachy bezel now this. It's pretty ridiculous. I really like the black dial Seestern with the orange hand.

Just took delivery of a Frog case intending to build my own. Unfortunately the bezel alignment is off enough to drive me crazy. Complained and the best I could get was a 50% refund. Seems to be a far too common problem judging by this and other reviews.

I have the Tactical Frog V2. I was kind of surprised/disappointed with the chapter ring sort of leaning inwards toward the crystal. It makes the outermost radius of the dial somewhat obscured. Strange decision by Tactical Frog. This bit seems more normal on the Seestern.

That's interesting, I have both a V1 and V2 Tactical Frog and the changes are welcome specifically in the bezel, BUT I don't think you can call the TF's crystal a high dome, as it's a bit raised but nowhere near as much as many other watches are, in my experience? However, I thought the Seestern had a lumed date wheel, which is one their outstanding features, but it didn't show up on your video?

I have had both of these and the Seestern is a much better example just by the bezel action alone.. I do wish Seestern would have used a domed acrylic crystal and really stay true to the original and that's a mod i am looking into. nice review!

Strictly speaking, the seestern is a copy of the current issue doxa sub 300t (or the older 1200T) which has a flat sapphire crystal, the original also had a flat crystal, but it was mineral rather than sapphire. Ive yet to see a homage of the sub 300 (no T), with either the domed acrylic of the 1960s version or sapphire of the reissue, that would be pretty nice.

Yes I agree, that would be great. For me, the Seestern case reminds me of the current 300T and the case shape of the Frog reminds me of the Sub300. But I do think a dedicated homage to Sub300 with slightly thinner axe and domed crystal would be very interesting.👍🏻😄

Got my v2 frog today absolutely love it. Even though my lume pip is like yours it doesn’t exactly line up I could care less. I put it on my time grapher app and it is very close to “zero” so they definitely regulated them. Perfect fit on 7 inch wrists removing 4 links and using the middle micro adjust.

Just had a wee look at your comparison between TF 2 and the seesern 2 . From what I can see I think that the seesern looks and probably feels a lot more true to the sub 300 . TF appears to wear flatter and conform to the wrist with an appearance of a larger dial . Seestern looks in general shape and aesthetics much truer to the doxa . As you say although similar , on closer inspection the look and wear very different . Without seeing them in the flesh I get the impression seesern have the likeness to the doxa nailed whereas tactical frog have missed the mark by quite a bit .

A friend has the pagani design doxa homage and there's really not that much difference between the pagani or the seestern doxa homage apart from fifty pound difference in price .

@@seadweller44 Lol if I order a version 3 it’ll be obsolete because by the time I get it they’ll probably be a version 4 But yeah this version three looks like it’s what it should have been right from the beginning just a simple minute timer. I can use my version 2 like that but you have to guess every five minutes how much time has elapsed without the minute marker rotating like version three

I didn’t try to swap the bracelets over on the V2’s, so I’m afraid I don’t know if they are interchangeable or not. I know the V1 bracelets were not, but the TF did change the spring bar location holes, so I don’t know if the V2’s will be.

Take the Frog v2 , mod it with a nh72 , reuse the indices on a skeletonized dial and grind down the "useless" inner bezel :D - TERMINATOR FROG

Yes, the V1 does have lumed date wheel. It was an option to have a lumed date wheel with the V2. I ordered the lumed date for my V2, but didn’t receive it. No idea why.
