Who are we?
We are a European couple from Germany (Alex) and the Netherlands (Mandy), sailing around the World on our 36ft sailboat. 3 years ago we started our journey in Greece with little sailing experience, figuring things out as we go, thinking we know what we are getting ourselves into. After those 3 years we know better, so it was time we took on a new challenge: we added a little crew member to our boat family, meet Levi!
Our goal is to circumnavigate the world on our 36ft Beneteau as a famliy. Sailboat life is super different from land life. It is fantastic and pretty rough at times. And now with little Levi, it often is even harder and more fun.
see the little things tries to FIND HAPPINESS BY DOING THINGS THAT ARE HARD. Join us on this journey and let's find happiness together!
If you have any COMMENTS, suggestion, questions or feel to need to praise (or scold) us, leave a comment down below and we’d happily write you back :). Of course a THUMBS UP is ALWAYS APPRECIATED very much so and helps us a lot!

The images of the following seas, under way making way, the ambient light, so emotionally evocative of passage. I am so envious of your experiences captured incredibly well. How wonderful ❤

Congratulations, all and yes, you are most definitely back! We realize you’ve been across for a while now but we just arrived with you in KZbin time. Very much enjoyed the experiences you shared and happy to realize that Andy is more than a voice in the podcasts we’ve enjoyed (and apparently quite a hand to have aboard for the crossings). Enjoy the fruits of your labors (cruising the Caribbean) and we look forward to what you choose to share with us next.

Congratulations on your crossing guys 🥳🥳. I think the monster from the deep was a Lancet Fish or known as a Cannibal Fish!! If you'd dared it would have had a massive sail-like dorsal fin. The main body did have the same shape. Not one to be messed with🤣. Thank you for bringing us your life aboard and catch you next week

Let me help eliviate your pain. I had 2 kids in 17 month, so they are close. It is called pseudo twins. One kid was kind of hard, but the two of them? I have NO clue how I survived those first years. And you basically got that. A kid and something making it difficult. Somehow you do survive, the kid(s) turn out great bc YOU are excellent people. It gets better as the kids get older, but you will always miss that first year of baby cuddles. You are good people, just go with your instinct. Never let go of the goal - to make the kid a wounderful person that you feel proud to introduce to new people. The closeness to you both will do that. Love, /Catta

That was a really nice episode. And in bullet form: - Babe's a cutie! Can't wait to see him crawl around in the Caribbean. Funny is that he doesn't look like either of you. Perhaps dad's eyes? - Wifey looks a bit worn out - very understandable... again, hope the Caribbean can bring som R&R - That fish looked really gross! :) - Liked the music and moody footage... AND YOU DID IT! CROSSED AN OCEAN AND WITH A BABY! P.S. Would like to see you in Ragged Islands... that would be just great!

That was a Lancet Fish. They are far from endangered. They are abundant all over the ocean. They are cannibalistic, eating their own kind. They have a big long Sail like dorsal fin with long spines that stick out on the front few if you would have opened it up. They're also hermaphrodites with both male and female sex organs. They definitely aren't good eating. Their meat is very high in water content and therefore Mushy. Not that you would get very much if you did bone one out anyway.
