I posit that something drastic changed the view of the sky or heavens from what it was previously such that people worldwide constructed solar-lunar-astral observatories to track and make sense of these changes. It's reasonable that these projects would have happened within a fairly narrow time period around the world and if we can date one or some fairly accurately then we date all the others to the same narrow time period. Marking celestial events in stone is an excellent way of preservation. Presumably paper type calendars would be made from these observations to facilitate transmission of this knowledge to the population at large so if we can find the oldest calendars around the world with their 'start dates' or how many years have passed since their creation we can estimate when all of this happened, perhaps something like a little over of 5000 years ago. I would also like to point out that it's my understanding the rising and setting of the Moon mirrors that of the Sun, i.e, mirror meaning reverse or of opposite times.

Indeed and that idea makes much more sense when you examine the other ruins scattered across Peru all seemingly located in dry arid areas. The whole Altiplano plateau was uplifted in the (geologically) recent past!

thank you so much! i am loving the new vids on native american and pacific islanders advanced science and engineering capabilities. the taino also revere the pleiades. taino agriculture utilizes mounds called conucos. taino civilization, academically, is said to be rooted in south america. its such a shame that the fire of colonization destroyed all the written works of the central americans. the library of alexandria was a drop in an ocean compared to the vast wealth of knowledge lost in the colonization of turtle island. it is my hypothesis that either turtle island had a much grander, continent spanning civilization that is being covered up by white supremacy or at the very least, the west coast of north and south america was a stop on the silk road and that is being covered up by white supremacy.

In 'The Story of Adam and Eve', which involves crust displacement theory, Peru was once tropical, then went under the ocean, and now has a high elevation again during the last 2 displacements (possibly over 24k years, with mag pole and physical shifts happening every 12k years). Fossil evidence finds seashells at very high elevations in Peru. I offer this, as, like many other sites across the archeological world, people say that they were 'suddenly abandoned'.

@@SeethePattern That was the thought I had on it being far more wet back then. What is the possibility that the uplift happened only a few thousand years ago? Happened quickly, like in a few years, few decades or a hundred year(s) or so?

Loving the content Gareth. Do you think a massive mega thrust earthquake in the Pacific would be able to produce these effects? Seems to be the logical conclusion based on consensus understanding of Geological forces capable of this kind of uplift and Tsunami. I suppose there are (like most phenomenon in nature) mechanisms at work that we are yet to fully understand!

They thought similar things about the Stonehenge, it was some sort of calendar. But the truth is we plant crops today based upon the calendar and seasons, not by using some large stone structure to tell us what day it is within the seasons. More likely it is as Anthony Peratt shows about the Stonehenge. It is probably a petroglyph rather than an observatory.
@odogkar3 жыл бұрын
Today we have calendars and internet. Back in the days they followed their own calendar and these structures were the reference points of their culture. Remove all those facilities we have today and we'll need stone astronomical structures again. Of course not everything is a temple or an astronomical observatory, but ancient cultures had need sky observations due to their religion and culture. Now we have a cancel-culture culture in the west, a non-culture in the middle-east and a relict culture in the east (irony!!!).
@JoeDeglman3 жыл бұрын
@@odogkar The question raised has been, why build such a structure and spend your treasure on it just to tell you what day it is, when most people could figure it out in a much simpler way via calendar or sundial. Even if you got rid of all calendars, most farmers would be able to figure out from the solstices, equinoxes, and angle of the Sun when to plant crops. The Stonehenge, has been analyzed as a some sort of solar alignment tool, mainly from a point of view of confirmation bias, and has many different interpretations as to it meaning. But Peratt shows that the Stonehenge design matches the plasma figures discovered in the Los Alamos National Lab. It is more likely just a plasma figure seen in the skies, and/or a religious symbol, than an observatory. See his video "Peratt and Petroglyphs."

@@JoeDeglman Your words : why build such a structure and spend your treasure on it just to tell you what day it is, when most people could figure it out in a much simpler way via ... pictures. Another commonality, between the Polynesians & the South American Peoples, is they have a common ancestry, as proven by DNA sequencing. Anyone who still believes this solar/astronomical observatory was constructed only some 2500 years years ago; well, I bet you also believe the World's economy is in good shape.
