@RetroSalesAustralia7 жыл бұрын
The 3D printed shield is a great addition as it prevents you accidentally dropping the SD card down into the machine. You'd have to take the lid off to get it. There's a second piece that goes inside the lid but I hadn't printed that one in time for the video. Just create a wordpress account and subscribe to his email alerts. You'll get one.

I have the entire DC library in .GDI but when extracted the files in the folder isn't like what you have. The folder contains the .gdi file as well as a .cue file and also to here are lots more .bin files and they are labeled by the name of the game followed by Track 01, Track 02, Track 03 and so on. I change the .gdi name to disc but when I get to the gdmenu screen it says unsupported file. Next I erased everything in the folder except for the .gdi file and still says unsupported file. I also tried removing everything except for the .gdi and the .cue files but still same issue. The Dreamcast boots into the gdmenu program but games aren't supported that I have. Is there a way to fix this issue? Is there a way to rename the files in each game folder? I'm going nuts trying everything and I have yet to find anyone else that does totorial videos that has the same kind of files as me. Any help at all would be so so helpful. By the way this was a great totorial video I just wish I was able to use my rom set. It looks like my roms are not the same as all the other ROMs that I see in almost every totorial video.

Jerwin Kace Ople If it doesn’t have a number, then it’s probably a first release revision 0. It’s probably also got a metal fan case/heat pipe. It won’t work with GDEmu. You need a revision 1 with 3.3v stamped onto the corner of the GDRom drive.

@RetroSalesAustralia7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I've never tried an external HDD mod on these. The SD card read times have been excellent with GD-EMU. It's important to get an SD card that is actually fast and not just go by the Class 10 label. I mean you need to do an actual read and write test in Windows or use as SD benchmark tool to determine its actual speed. I've found some really cheap cards outperform expensive ones.

if you can't find these boards anymore.. found a somewhat better solution.. need the following. - Bolong 10 x Micro SD TF Memory Card to SATA SSD Adapter + RAID Quad 2.5 SATA Converter - 7+15Pin Female SATA SSD HDD Hard Drive to IDE 3.5" 40 Pin Male Converter Adapter. -pinout for a 40 pin ide to dreamcast motherboard wiring diagram otherwise a micro 40 pin gdrom plug from an old dreamcast gdrom. basically get an ide cable and solder all pins directly to board (finding a pinout picture on google and a little care) or go directly to a old dreamcast male plug and this will enable you to plug the board into the original data socket.. i understand that a new bios is necessary for using this board featured in the video.. but i assume that using my method may not work.. but possibly an ideal replacement..
