I had a sega as a kid, but I was more snes, so I never explored the sega library too much. Thanks for the video, Erin I saw games I never seen

Had Alicia Dragoon as a kid. Was hard to beat. I usually just held down fire. Letting go lets it charge up and do that whole screen attack. See the wiggly bar in the HUD that looks like lightning. I just kept moving right, rarely stopping.

I remember buying concert tickets at Fred Meyer in the electronics section. It felt so much cooler lol. The dude would pull out a seating chart and you could just point to where you want to sit. I think they used to sell for Ticketmaster.

Love the selection and love the Genesis /Megadrive. My first 16bit love. And yeah, I love that you say whatever you want. We can have high humor and toilet humor and enjoy both. Whatever your gender is, we should be way over that by now. I wish I had been there to recommend you to play Rolling Thunder II on the Genesis. I think you'd like that one a lot.

Speaking of Elemental Master, I highly recommend that game for people looking to get into SHMUPS but don't know where to start. The game won't roll over and die for you, but the difficulty is very accessible to people new to the genre. Sticking with the Genesis, Thunder Force III is also a good place to start, it is a heavy memorizer, but at the same time the difficulty won't make you pull your hair out. I would NOT recommend starting with Thunder Force IV (a.k.a. Lightening Force) while that game is awesome, the difficulty is too high for someone new to SHMUPS (unless you use the 99 lives cheat). The arcade version of Insector X is a little bit more fun. In that game you can play as a girl or a boy and you fly around riding on a bug sprayer like it is a ship. El Viento takes getting used to, but once you get somewhere it starts getting fun (you need to learn to use your magic). Otherwise, another fun video.

Insector x looks harder on the Genesis. Do prefer the cutesy look of the arcade version. You do need to hammer that shoot button on it though.
