Hi! I know I'm missing a few games and some roms didn't work (some of the games are just Master System games that were dumped onto a Game Gear cartridge, like Castle of Illusion for example,) so I may rename this little series to just "Game Gear Games" or something since "A-Z" implies EVERY game. This stream was a bit rough since I didn't know how to play some of the games since I wasn't familiar with them and some of the game I just plain didn't like, lol, but I must upload it for the sake of consistency. Anyway, enjoy!

Oh man! Dragon Crystal! I love that game! Its sort of a mystery dungeon, not unlike Torneko or Druaga . You should definitely show it to Mike one day. Going into the game blind is a bit confusing for sure though

Erin! If you ever wanna give Ecco the Dolphin another try, I would recommend playing it on Genesis! The way you progress through that first screen is you have to build up speed by pressing the speed up button a bunch and jump as high as you can into the sky! (I know on Genesis the speed up button is C) ☺️ I think it may actually be up your alley once you figure it out!

If I end up trying out Ecco I'll definitely be trying the Genesis version!

🤠This is normal. Some games do not work with Everdrive due to compatibility problems on the original devices or different regions. This problem is encountered with device emulators on the PC. Sometimes I use an emulator for some games and the rest on another emulator, as well as on the original devices. The Shinobi GameGear game is amazing and the Shinobi series is amazing. An ancient and one of the best ninja series ever.

The Shinobi game is what I’m most excited about playing on Game Gear 😊

This Arknoid clone (Devilish) looks like it would play a LOT more intuitively with an arcade stick, rather than a D-pad. I bet it would also be one of those rare games that really benefits from a round restricter-gate too. Though, I'm sure octagonal would work just fine.

"How high in the sky can you fly?" means jump as high as possible straight up in the air. That's the only way to progress.

Dragon Crystal is like Torneko's Mystery Dungeon (a favourite of Mike's) but without any story or hub world stuff. I got so addicted to the sms version I almost got all the way to the end. You only get 1 life. Mean Bean Machine is 8bit Puyo Puyo which is a popular puzzle action game. I'm not sure what Compile were thinking, combining puzzle with _action_ though. Insane. You chain blobs to dump junk tiles on the opponent. You aren't supposed to just pop them. In fairness, it's confusing because you expect it to be just to clear the board as quickly as possible but no. You have to sit there staring at the board and trying to _not_ pop beans but figure out how to create a chain. It's not at all easy. But people can get dangerously addicted to Puyo Puyo.
@ErinPlaysExtras9 ай бұрын
Ah yeah, I don’t know anything about turn based rpgs (I think Torneko is one?) so I was lost lol. And I’ll have to play Mean Bean Machine again.
@iwanttocomplain9 ай бұрын
@@ErinPlaysExtrasit's not an rpg. It's just one long randomly generated dungeon/levels you have to find your way to the end. But there are spells and wands which are coloured and do a different thing every playthrough. So you have to use everything once before you know what it does. It might be bad. You go along killing everything, remembering to get food. IT's actually extremely simple. The first of it's kind was Fatal Labyrinth, a SegaNet game [citation needed].
@iwanttocomplain9 ай бұрын
@@ErinPlaysExtrasI don't play that much games believe it or not but I did go nuts for Dragon Crystal (sms) and Puyo Puyo. There are about 30 versions of Puyo Puyo. Mostly variants of Puyo Puyo Tsu (the tsu means two - it's cute if you're Japanese). Kirby's Avalanche is the SNES version. Mean Bean Machine is a reskin of the first game iir. The Mega Drive version of Puyo Puyo Tsu is arcade perfect as the original was on the System CS arcade board which is similar hardware. The samples are heavily downgraded though, so it's not quite perfect. I've been playing Puyo Puyo Tsu Remix on SNES because it has a 4 player mode and you can take on the ai.
