The 3DO can handle this game better because of the larger 2 megs of memory. Saturn and PSX systems should of had 2-4 megs by default. It would of only increased the price of the hardware by 50 bucks to go with 4 megs and all the arcade ports would have been accurate instead of missing sounds and frames of animation. Even textures in 3D games would of looked better being 4x higher resolution. Big mistake by Sega and Sony. You should check out the 3DO port that is near completion. It is looking fantastic.

@@Scorpion24 32x version was worse because the 32x VDP was weaker than the Saturn's causing it to have worse graphics and sound. Also Saturn MK2 was released in 1996 and the 4 Meg Cart wasn't released till 1997. This could have been solved by Saturn having 4 meg internal ram by default. Yeah with better programmers they probably could have fixed the sound loading issues and the issue of not keeping the Player's Name Wins and Fatality logo on the screen at the same time. There is a fan made 3DO port that fixes this and the 3DO ans Saturn have 2meg of ram but I know Saturn's is segregated differently 0.75/0.75/0.5 versus 1/1. NPCs love to hate on the 32bitter MK2s and even though these versions could have been better they trounce the weak 16 bitter ports. The 16s have a huge lack of parallax across all levels, missing voices, reduced character sizes, massively reduced colours, wrong character placement on stages, SNES janky gameplay/slowdown, Genesis missing intro, missing endings, no vs screens, static backdrops and missing effects, reduced fatality effects. No port is a 1:1 to the arcade but for the me I'll take a 32 bitter MK2 any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Sega Saturn is my favourite console but even I have to say the 16bit games play better. The 32bit games could have been way better of course but these are lazy msdos ports. This version feels way more stripped down than it should’ve ever been. Surprising voices missing. The music is a travesty, though playing it myself it’s clear they did the music in MIDI so that the loading sequences mid fight didn’t have to pause the music to do it. It’s shockingly more inaccurate in gameplay than the Genesis version. And the PS1 version is almost just as bad, with very minor differences. Characters are bigger but somehow still look muddy with weird color in spots. PS1 had a more appropriate ladder screen music, but is missing the end of round tunes. TLDR, this and the PS1 version suck equally in slightly different ways. I see why Acclaim wasn’t allowed to touch these games after this. Especially when PS1 MK3 at the time was right over there and absolutely destroyed this.

@@multipass1170it came out in my childhood. My uncle rented it at a game store. That was the last time I saw a SEGA Saturn IRL. I playing SEGA Saturn games via emulation. Really wish it was competitive outside of Japan
