I was introduced to him from commercials airing during Sonic Soldier Borgman, which my anime club in Cincinnati was watching in Japanese with synopses at the time. There were so many Sega product commercials during Borgman that by the end of the series we were making "SEGA APPROVED!!!!" jokes.
