The last commercial was the most emotional commercial I've ever seen. Sega announces the Dreamcast, killing the Sega Saturn in the process, which also meant Segata Sanshiro's death. The Sega Saturn fans then tried to kill Sega with a missle, because of Sega killing the Saturn and Sanshiro to soon. What would Segata Sanshiro do? Would he let the Saturn fans kill Sega because they will kill the Saturn and Sanshiro, or would he save Sega, but ultimately kill the Saturn and himself in the processs? He chose the latter, sacrificing himself to save Sega. He died with the Sega Saturn, so Sega could release the Dreamcast.......

Segata Sanshirō Shinken Yūgi (the game they advertised in the commercial) came out on the Sega Saturn on 29 October, 1998. The Dreamcast was released in November 27, 1998. Segata Sanshirō Shinken Yūgi came out a month before the Sega Saturn officially died....................

A little trivia for everyone: Segata was based on a Japanese movie called Sanchiro Sugata, a movie about a legendary judo fighter of the same name. The actor, Fujioka Hiroshi, was best known at the time for playing the main character of a sci-fi superhero show called Kamen Rider. Hiroshi went on to play in a rather famous american movie. He voiced Shan-Yu in Disney's Mulan.

Don't know if you knew this, Chad, but here's some interesting info about these commercials: Segata Sanshrio's catch phrase "Sega Saturn, shiro!" means two things: 1) White Sega Saturn (which was the model he was promoting) and 2) It also loosely means "You must play Sega Saturn!"
