Nice work on this movement! I think the oil might help hold those fiddly cap jewels on the bridge. I am having a lot of trouble with them. The jewels slide around while installing the springs. Terrible design!

The final result makes it all worth while - that waffle dial is really cool. But I have to ask - does a (readily available) NH3* fit in that case?

Hi Alan, thank you! Yessir NH3x fits that case perfectly. 7sxx, 4R3x and NH3x all has the same spacer dimensions

Can someone point me to a maker of a tan strap like that? Something that colour, sewn together like that, and with that sort-of illusory depth to the finish? And at a good price? It looks like something easy to find, but I'm having no luck.

Hello, i have an old Seiko Watch with a 7s36 from my Childhood, it has become to small for my hand and want to switch the case like you did. Can you tell me what cases can fit my movement? Do i need adapters and a new stem?

Hi, the 7S36 and NH36 movements have the same dimensions. So pretty much any NH36 case will work for you - there’s many suppliers of these on EBay and AliExpress. Just search for NH36 case. You may need to replace the stem, depending on the dimensions of the case you end up with. You can use a NH36 stem on a 7S36 movement (but not the other way around)
