I've had this watch for way over a year now and I still like it a lot. I like that it sits really nice and flat on my wrist. I took it off the bracelet and put it on a thick black leather strap and I absolutely love it. It's definitely no Seiko 5 impersonator.

This watch on a leather strap has been my beater for a couple years or so. It's mineral crystal reminds me why I like sapphire. The crystal and case are all scratched up but it's the kind of watch that looks good all scratched up.

I have had this watch for over two weeks. The lume lasts all night for my 50 year old eyes as long as I wear it outside almost all day or if not worn all day give it a quick blast of flashlight and it stays bright enough to see the time if you wear it to bed. It is "clingy." it catches light and looks more expensive than it is. I originally ordered from Amazon and sent three back because the second hands did not line up so I went to Kohl's and found one that lined up and though more expensive by 50.00 the lining up made me happier. I love this watch and bought some crystal protectors from amazon and the watch is good to go. The bracelet is comfortable and it is easy to read. Cannot recommend it enough if this is what you are looking for. Any questions just ask.

Still works fine? How about scratches on polished case? I really like this model, but polished case stops me from buying, i think brushed is more practical...

I've had this exact model for four years now. I hate to say, "beater" but it's made it into my weekly rotation because I don't mind it accumulating some scratches. Overall, it's a tank that requires zero maintenance. It looks great with jeans and a t-shirt or khakis and a blazer. This model is catching on because the price now in 2021 is $50-75 more than I paid for mine. He's right about the polish though, I feel like it has an identity crisis. This watch has wrist presence and will compliment more outfits than you may think. However, it will look out of place if you're bumming it/dressing for total ruggedness.

Great video! About to pick the one up! Wanted to see the watch in a video and definitely going to grab it now! I actually prefer polished watches. Even as a field watch, I wouldn’t take something like this out hiking or whatever. That’s what I have my Casio G shocks for!!

I had mine for approximately one year. The second hand didn't align with the minute marks on the face and I eventually sold it. I liked it's appearance. Overall good watch.

One of the reasons I purchased this watch was because of this video. Found it new for $89.00 and since I don't like metal bands replaced it with a Maratac Elite PVC. What a great combo! This watch doesn't film as well as it should. This watch kills in person and screams quality.

Got one at Kohl's on Black Friday ! MSRP on Citizen's website was $250, but was on sale for $175. Kohl's knocked it down to $150, and they resized the bracelet for me for free! Quite satisfied - it's reliable, robust, and accurate. What more do you need? Great video review.

Just bought this watch on Amazon, it’s the Citizen Garrison Field watch, and on sale it’s $168 now. I noticed that you put this up a year ago so the price has definitely gone up. Will see how I like it I’ve never had a citizen Eco watch. Really like the looks of it and from what you said it’s very comfortable. Great review!

You can burnish the watch yourself if you don't like shiny. It's one of the easiest "mods" to do with a Scotch pad that gives a really nice finish. I do have to add that I've had this watch for about 3 weeks...and it continues to be almost spot on to Atomic time I set it with. It gained maybe a 1/2 second in that time....guessing ...because the Citizen second hand jumps a nats hair quicker that Atomic after 3 weeks. Maybe luck ...but its the most accurate Citizen eco-drive I have. That said...my other Citizen watches gain maybe 4 seconds a month....in a blizzard, while raining sleet, under volcanic ash and earthquakes, and running from Zombies.

Agreed on the polished finish - makes a detriment to a field watch, no sapphire, and size too big for field - for that reason I'm out.

Yes, mine is VERY accurate with hitting the markers. But also, every Citizen eco-drive that I own hits the seconds markers accurately.

I wish they didn't clutter the face unnecessarily with those 24 hour markers! I understand military style, but it would look a lot better and cleaner without them and I find them useless for everyday use. After all, it's just a military *Style* watch, not really intended for the forces.

I prefer the 24 hour markers. My bus stop timetable is in 24 hours. A lot of work times are also set in 24 hours.
