Great review. I believe it is a 01V0 case. It wears better than the snxs79. And you are right, unlike the other dial colour variants, the seiko 5 etchings are almost imperceptible. Keep posting more content. Good luck And which is your favourite seiko 5?😉

I just love the r*lex look, and thats why I purchased the SNXS79 in 2017. Amazing dial, except for DD window off colour. And bulging underside... but still love it! New bracelet is on its way from china LOL. Cos I had trouble finding proper straps anyway. Next, I want the silver one!! cheers

So, I used to feel the same way about you as the DD window, but what I realized is the white window actually keeps the symmetry with the white 9 o clock marker. Of course, still a personal preference, and to each their own. Maybe you can look into modding out the DD wheel to black if it really bothers you! Anyway, thanks for checking out the review! I have the SNK361 (Black dial) and I’m in love with it. I actually love the bracelet it came with, it’s comfortable once you resize it to your wrist.

The black dial variant is gorgeous, kinda looks like a baby SARB033 in some lighting. I almost chose it over the SNK355, but I have too many black dial watches, else I probably would've. Totally agree! I've gotten to wear the bracelet since then and it's great. One of the best Seiko 5 bracelets I've tried.

2:38 That SNXS79 though does have good lume. It actually equals my Certina diver which costs 7 times as much. The Japanese know their lume. (Not only Seiko. Citizen might be even better recently.)

SNK355 case shape is so comfortable, whereas the SNXS79 caseback protrudes a bit and makes the watch protrude above the wrist. SNK355 case is great.

I just ordered a white dial snx and after looking for a better quality band for when it would arrive, i came across the 355. Canceled the snx and ordered this exact color in the 355. I love the bulkier look along with the hour marks and how only the tips have lume. Gorgeous watch. Was looking for a jubilee style band for the snx but i might just keep the 355 band just how it is

I prefer champagne dial as champagne has more vintage feel. Plus 35mm case is better for 6.25inch wrist. But I like jubilee looking bracelet

SNXS79 dial is perfect but case thickness and 19mm band width are a real deal killer. This looks like a better alternative. Nice review - maybe less coffee next time ;)

I completely understand, though I will say, the SNXS79 is a slightly thicker watch on paper (~13mm), but because the extra thickness is mostly the movement protruding through the case back, it doesn’t wear as thick as it seems. Actually gives you a little bit of wiggle room to move your wrist comfortably, kinda like how the new Seiko Turtles are shaped, tapering toward the bottom. With that said, 19mm lug width is still a bit of a pain. Another great KZbinr, TheSlenderWrist actually did a mod taking the beautiful dial of the SNXS79 and implanting it in the same SNK case in this video. @@fileisaac4625 Not on this watch, no. A 22mm bracelet will absolutely not fit. However, if you want a Seiko 5 with a 22mm lug width, check out the references: SNZG15, SNZF17, and SNZH53. All slightly different aesthetic, but most 'dressy' Seikos don't have a 22mm lug width until you start getting into the slightly more expensive Seiko SARY line, like the SARY057. Hope that helps!
