The SNXS79 was my gateway automatic watch a couple years back and I still rock it frequently although on a vintage style brown leather band. Just picked up the Seiko 5 SNKK13 gold dial with silver case and is is such a sleeper! Absolutely beautiful dial and I never see anyone talking about it..

Been rocking the snkl41 and snk809 for the longest time and they are reliable as ever for most occasions. Recently got the srpe61. What a beauty it is. These seiko 5s cure the mini watch enthusiast in me.

My Seiko 5 Actus (same like yours) is 40 years old and i serviced it for the 1st time 1 year ago. The man who serviced it did a great job. It looks like new again. Accuracy around +10 seconds/day and it is a beauty to watch its sweeping second hand moving

Totally agree about the GMT version being a game-changer. It seems like they're trying to broaden the appeal of Seiko 5 even further. Could it eventually be spun off as a separate brand altogether, like they did with Grand Seiko?

there used to be so many cool seiko 5s in the older sports line like the ice baby monster or the mt fuji (not the limited edition mt fuji models), the helmet or the one with the pogue case. people dont talk that much about those but there were a lot of cool models in the sports line before the rebranding. as for the new models i´d like to see a field watch in a dresskx style case but in 37mm with a sandblasted finish (like the snk80x) and with lume on the triangle at 12 so you can tell what time it is without guessing.

I love Seiko watches, but when you get down on this price range, you will have to replace the strap or the bracelet. I actually think Seiko should sell watches without a strap or bracelet. That way you can just choose one.

I just took 2 references at once, SRPJ83 field dial & SRPJ87 pilot dial which launched recently both are smaller references to the 40mm size SRPG & SRPH lines launched last year Men's watches with a size of 36 mm are a rarity these days

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

I stole a new Seiko SRPD63K1 for $167 and it can't be beat with its green/gold Rolex Submariner looks from across the room. It's truly hard, if even possible to beat a Seiko for the money, craftmanship and quality. A Casio Duro will beat a Seiko 5 in water resistance, but they just won't hold value.

Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
