seconds ago I'm a Seiko fanboy too but the glory days are gone. They are pulling AlI Express tricks but not Ali prices. I haven't bought a Seiko in a while and I only look at Prospex models with a good discount now. I gave up on Seiko 5 ages ago. Orient and Citizen both are beating them in the 5 price range.

I commented on Jody’s Channel stating I must be a sheep because I literally like every reissue Seiko puts out. But that Presage is WAY better. But come on Seiko. I am utterly annoyed by the Seiko 5KX case (they use it for collaborations left, right and centre). That's why I stay away from that line as far as possible. I am only in one single segment of seiko. And that's the Prospex line and am very comfortable there.

I just got the SRPK97. I love the original but the originals are now around $400 Australian in my market on grey sites. I got my new one for $399AUD from my favourite local online AD, so for the same price I’d rather the new one with the better movement and support ADs rather than grey market when I can!

I don't see what's wrong with a refresh; move the crown, add hacking and change dial graphics. Maybe doesn't justify the price but it's a nice watch. I agree with many others though, I would spend the same money on a watch with better specs. Loving the speedtimer I bought for my wife recently :)

Lol I disagree. Seiko prices have ballooned since KZbin reviewers became so popular. AliExpress has some great watch companies like San Martin, Cronos and Baltany. However, San Martin prices have steadily crept up. Great video btw 👍

Thanks for the video. Nice case design. I extremely dislike the triangular hands they insist on putting on so many of their higher end watches. Alpha style hands would even be an improvement. Still admire many of their other designs. When I think dive watch, I think Rolex or Seiko.

This style of 'sword' hand I think is much much more legibile than the standard skx/turtle hand style (probably better lume than the too-narrow-arrow). Nice looking design...another huge watch. This in 34-38mm at 10mm thick would be nice.

If my Grand Seiko's are anything to guy by then Seiko's lume just isn't as good as It once was. My SBGX117 (8 years old) outshines any watch I've every had and glows all night, a beautiful dark green. My two year old SBGX339's lume pales in comparison, it's not even as good a some of my much less expensive watches, very dissapointed with it. Maybe they've changed the formula or how much they apply, they are also different shades of green.
