These are built like tanks! Iv got a Seiko Arnie from 1987, still runs perfect today! Never serviced. Its quarts too.

The “graduated scale” is years. Seiko make a mark on the scale to indicate expected year of next battery replacement. Whoever fits he next battery is meant to make a mark to remind you when it’s due a new battery.

Tuna is something else 7c46 is just one workhorse of movement, I have the sbbn015 NOS in my collection 2011 on the warranty card still on the original battery, just looking around for a good sbbn013 😂🔥👌

A magnificent review of the Tuna Gethin. I really like the dial and handset on this one. The lume looks almost too bright, like it could burn your eyes!

It is the brightest lume I have ever seen Paul. And I was surprised by how much I liked the Tuna. It is excellent. The owner picked it up for £650 on eBay which was a great deal. Thanks bro!

My daily driver right here. I have nice autos but this bad boy is my favourite of the bunch. The bezel softness is supposed to tighten up when submerged according to Seiko. I haven’t tested that yet.

My biggest watches are SPRPC91 Save the Ocean 🐢 and SBDC051. The turtle is 44mm and the modern MAS is 42.6 mm. They both wear smaller than the dimensions suggest on my 7in wrist. The magic of Seiko cases. The lume winner between them is the SBDC051.

Very nice review! It's my absolute favorite and most worn watch in my collection. I have it either on a Strapcode Hexad or an Uncle Seiko GL831. I love everything about this watch, except for the way too light bezel action.

its the most tool watch i can think of beside g-shock and maybe luminox? when i think of tool watches, i think of knocking them about, so the quartz movement seems preferable. doesnt feel safe wearing an automatic to work or doing much else other than staring at them on my wrist. imagine the tuna in doxa orange. I thought you stepped on a frog. maybe killed it. well done. saluted, sir. for the beeeeeech!

My ideal size is 42-45mm. I really thought my Turtle at 45 was going to be pushing my threshold, until I got it on the wrist. It wears so much smaller because of the lug to lug and the cushion case design. But this Tuna with the hockey puck design might be too large. Im not sure. How does it wear so small? The short lug design? By the way: why do you drink Bud, instead of Guinness or Stella? No judgement, even though I'm a dick. 😂 Just wondering. I'm American and I won't even consider Budweiser. I drink Coors Banquet or Modello Especial. 😂

I respect this watch a lot but I don't like it! Anyway, my personal preference is not relevant - great watch nevertheless! And that movement!!! There are more expensive Swiss prices of shit that miss every second marker... How hard can it be? If they don't know how to make a watch hit every second maybe there is a course Seiko offense.. Who knows... (ETA, Ronda... Looking at you bastards!!!)
