Non hacking is only a problem when the second hand can't be stopped by turning the crown slightly backward. With the SKX it is very easy to do. It is often called pseudo hacking. I have several watches that are really impossible to pseudo hack and that of course is a real nuisance when you want to put the watch on time, seconds accurate. The non winding is often mentioned as awkward, but with the SKX it is hardly a problem, because it is nearly impossible to just pick this watch up without the watch starting to run. Do the shake for at least 30 seconds otherwise the watch will run slow in the first half of the day. Keep up the reviews. I like your choice of watches.

You are absolutely welcome Chris! Yes, there was a time last year when I could get the 007 for 130 euros new 😢. Those prices are sadly long gone.... There is the skx013 on the site for 289 😊 euros.

Chris DeVarenne - I was surprised for its 38mm size how large it wears. The lug to lug is similar to the bigger brother. The islander comes with a nice quality bracelet but the end link is fixed which pushes out the length to about 50.4mm. That’s longer than my SRPD71.

I own this watch amongst quite a few Seiko’s and Orients in my collection that are superior to this 009 but it’s still one of my all time favorites 👍🏻

Horologique absolutely correct it’s a legendary watch for sure . I also own a jdm Seiko Pepsi Sea Urchin as well and I really love that watch as well even though it’s not as good as my Padi Turtle 🐢 or my sbdc033 or Blumo. Another awesome Seiko I have is the Seiko Atlas or skz209j1 I love that watch as well 👍🏻

@@Horologique had a few 007 when itbwasn£70 011 was £100 never happy though with no winding so I got a turtle pepsi but too big then a monster gen 2bthen a samurai and now I'm thinking of a 009 pepsi on jubilee but they sold out where they were.
